Homewood Suites by Hilton Albany

The room is big enough to stay. The main disadvantage is the noise issue.

The Homewood suites by Hilton Albany was great. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Comfy bed. Nice shower with soap/shampoo/conditioner attached to the wall. The gym was nice, had treadmills, 2 pelotons, an elliptical, etc. Free breakfast buffet til 10am. Free parking. The woman who checked us in late at night was personable and engaged. Specifics for musicians/bands: It was a sort of long walk to the elevator with our gear. The parking lot did not have any walls to park against for our sprinter, but we put the butt of the van against a tree and it was fine.

We received 2 complimentary water bottles upon arrival. Our room was on the 1st floor near the back garden entrance. Entering, it’s a spacious room with big TVs and comfortable soft beds. Unfortunately, I noticed some stickiness near the edge of the wall of the entrance. The inside of the microwave also wasn’t clean. Shower takes 5+ minutes to warm up. Mild issue with bugs (2 rolly pollies in the bathroom, baby spider, ladybug). The garden at this hotel does look nice though and their dining space accommodates a good size. Breakfast serves hot things like bacon, sausage, eggs, French toast sticks, etc. but it doesn’t taste good. On the cold side there’s cereal, fruit, yogurt, and pastries.

2 complimentary water bottles upon checking in. We arrived really early and they were able to accommodate an early check in within a few hours. We got a room on the 1st floor near the back entrance. For the negatives, the edge of the floor to the room’s entrance looks a bit sticky. Microwave was not clean inside. Shower water takes 5+ minutes to become hot. Issue with bugs (2 Rolly pollies in the bathroom at separate times, baby spider, etc.) This is the main thing bringing down my rating. On the plus side, the bed is soft and comfortable. Room is very spacious with large TVs. Service here is excellent! Very friendly and helpful - some of the best I’ve experienced. Breakfast is OK. Dining space was great though. Stuff like eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast sticks for warm stuff.. which wasn’t really tasty. For cold, there’s fruit, cereal, etc.

We had a wonderful one night stay. Wish we were staying longer. Our suite was perfect with two large bedrooms, living room, kitchen and two full bathrooms. Three TVs. Beds were very comfortable. We really appreciated that the beds were lower which enabled my short, disabled sister to get in and out of bed without assistance. Thanks to the hotel for thinking about older and disabled travelers who can't handle the trend toward too high bedrooms. The biggest pleasant surprise was breakfast. Everything was just a bit tastier than other similar offerings at other properties. They even had berries! We also took advantage of the free laundry room. Totally recommend,

Rooms are very nice. The hotel was very clean. They have a hot breakfast (eggs), toast, coffee, juice and milk. Very quiet. You are away from the main traffic roads, Got a good night's sleep here. Dorothy, the manager, was great and made sure we had everything we needed.
