This was a little gem of a find. The hotel and grounds are stunning. Neil and Rosemarie were fabulous hosts, extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was very well decorated with the added bonus of a separate tv room with wardrobe and sofa. Lovely and comfortable. A great place to make the most of the very short drives to visit Sidmouth, Lyme Regis, Beer and 5 minutes from River Cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5day break here

Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens Plenty parking on site Room very comfortable with little extra touches Tea and coffee machine with fresh milk in small fridge outside room Bed comfy Big shower Relaxing bar area Lovely smell as you walk in to a friendly welcome Can definitely recommend hotel Location in between Lyme regis and sidmouth There is a local bus service not to far away

Just come back from a couple of nights and what a wonderful place. We had such a warm welcome, the house hotel is beautiful and it’s in a great location, close to everything you could want to see. Rooms are beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated. Our shower was just huge!! We can’t thank you enough for looking after us,, Neil & Rosemarie. Thanks for sharing your local knowledge too!

Lovely B&B, a good breakfast with a warm welcome. Situated in a handy spot for sight seeing around Dorset. Well cared for grounds, ample car parking and has a pool available during the day. Nice walk around the near by estate from the county lane opposite the house.

Had an overnight stay and it was wonderful. The owners have really thought of everything. The rooms are beautiful and exceptionally clean and the beds are soft. The bar is a great addition and nothing was too much trouble. Had a great freshly cooked breakfast before leaving. My only negative comment - wish we had stayed longer. Would highly recommend.

So you want to go away and are worried that the standards may not be too high. Well Rosemarie and Neil, will astound you. The Dower House is one of the most perfect establishments in the south. They aspire to high standards and they achieve them too and some. From the comfortable beds to the minutiae of the choices in the bathrooms. Arrive as customers and leave as friends for life. I wish other hotels could manage the standards they have set. Brilliant.

We had a lovely two night stay at the Dower House. Everything was perfect for us, from the comfortable room and heated outdoor pool to the excellent breakfast each morning. The proprietors, Neil and Rosemarie were very friendly and helpful. The whole experience was a delight..we highly recommend. Mary T

The Dower House is an elegant looking building in attractive grounds. The pool is lovely and heated but only open for a limited time during the day so there is no early morning or evening swimming, although if read all the details they give you then you would already be aware of this! (Opening Hours: 10.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.) Rosemarie & Neil are great hosts and very helpful. They also introduced us to the other staff which gave the whole place a pleasant family atmosphere. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The views from the rooms are far reaching and beautiful. The Dower House was a short drive from other places of interest. Last but not least the breakfast was I think the best I have had anywhere. I would certainly like to return.

We had a little unexpected but absolutely delightful stay at this hotel. The decor and the atmosphere is lovely. The property is very well kept and clean. All the staff are really helpful and friendly. Couldn’t recommend enough! Ps: fantastic breakfast!
