Hotel Madinat

The staff were very friendly and helpful, Cristiano was great. Location is great in the alleys of the old town, close to every thing. Everything was really nice, the views from the roof terrace was breathtaking. We love the place, we will be back.

Hotel Madinat is in a great location to experience all that Cordoba has to offer. The decoration is stylish; the team is very attentive. It has a great roof top terrace to enjoy a drink as the sun sets over Cordoba.

For our stay in Cordoba, we wanted to stay in the historical quarter, away from busy crowds. The small, but superb Hotel Madinat was the perfect choice. The Reception team of Yousef, Christian and Paloma were excellent throughout. We had the interesting Wallada Room and enjoyed the access to the roof terraces with great views across the City. The breakfasts were excellent. We would recommend taxi from the airport, particularly with heavy cases - and Yousef was helpful in arranging a taxi to the train station for our onward journey. Highly recommended!

Can absolutely recommend this wonderful hotel! Great/helpful staff, perfect location to go everywhere by foot, quite street, cute rooftop terrace and big rooms. Unfortunately like everywhere: the walls are thin and you can hear people talking outside the door.

The Madinat is an eleven room hotel in the heart of old Cordoba. My husband and I stayed in the Hamama Room which was a huge. It is beautifully restored to reflect its origins. The Madinat is very centrally located. We were able to walk to the Mezquita and our Flamenco performance. Youssef, one of our hosts, organized our Flamenco activity for us so we were able to enjoy great seats with a minimum fuss. He also had great restaurant recommendations and made reservations for us. Breakfast included many local delicacies which were delicious. We enjoyed our stay at this very special hotel and would recommend it to other travelers.

We had a very busy trip through Andalucia and were only in Cordoba one night. Such a bummer because Hotel Madinat was the best stay of our whole trip. Great service and impeccable attention to detail made this hotel stand out. Stay here!

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel in Cordoba. It truly is very special. You feel as though you are staying in a private house. The room was spacious, comfortable and airy with excellent air conditioning. The bed was so comfortable we would have bought it to bring home! The hotel is perfectly located to explore beautiful Cordoba. Nowhere is more than 15 - 20 mins walk away and the Alcazar and Mosque-Cathedral are about a 10 minute walk. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Christian was very welcoming and told us all we needed to know to make the most of our time in Cordoba. He also gave us recommendations for 2 fantastic restaurants. Youssef was very friendly and helpful too as were all the staff in the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Room: Alhóndiga [double superior] We spent two nights at this lovely boutique hotel. Check in was efficient and welcoming. We were given freshly made lemonade and sweets whilst check in took place, and was offered information about the area. The host then showed us to our room on the first floor. The room was spacious. The bed was a good size and was very comfortable. the aircon worked well. There was plenty of room for luggage and to unpack. Welcome chocolates were in the room next to the bed on arrival to the room. The bathroom had a large wet room style shower and all toiletries were provided. The sink was just outside of this, as part of the main room. The toilet was situated between the sink [in the main room] and the shower, operated from both by glass walls which had partial frosting. Whilst this ensured good lighting I would have preferred a full frosted or solid wall for additional privacy. All toiletries were provided, including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and soap, and were good. The hairdryer was also of a good standard. The rooftop terraces were pleasant with good views over the city. Whilst there is no bar upstairs we were told that we could have drinks sent up to us should we wish. There was also a lovely patio area in the centre of the building. Breakfast was a small fresh buffet with fruit, pastries, meat and cheese, Spanish omelette, breads, yogurt, etc and you could request hot foods such as eggs. Tea and coffee was plentiful, as were fresh juices. It was also possible to request a takeaway cup for your hot drink if you wished. The hotel is within the Jewish quarter down narrow cobbled lanes. This means that a taxi cannot come directly to the door, though we were collected and dropped off just at the top of the straight - a few steps away from the hotel entrance. This was a very pleasant stay in a lovely boutique hotel.
