Have just spent the last 5 days at PlayaOlid and loved it. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. The activities for families are plenty. I stayed in the deluxe apar**ents which were great. A bit tired looking but just what you need in the way of somewhere to sleep. The food and snack options were fantastic, something for everyone. The only negative I have is the fact that guests smoked and vaped on the loungers at the pool, especially by the family pool near the reception area. Apart from that I had a great time. This was a work holiday. I enjoyed it so much I am planning on taking my sons here in October 2024.

We had a fab time at playaolid. Staff were so nice and worked so hard. Be prepared for walking up and down steps if you aren't in the main building with the lift . We were top floor and had 6 flights of stairs to go up and down. The food was your average 3 star hotel food- maybe better with breakfast always being our fav. Pool bar open everyday 10am til 5pm meant you didn't have to get dressed to eat inside, although we did one day just to test it out. Mexican food night was great and a lovely touch having a 3 peice Mexican musical trio. Bar soft drinks not great but we added a bit of cordial that's sat on the bar to a lemonade or water were happy. The slush pina coladas were my fav. We were super lucky with the weather- I think they had a bit of a heat wave, my kids were happy in the pool all week, we ventured down to the games room once but no-one else was in there! The evening entertainment wasn't great some nights. But we didn't stay for the first few. The Friday night Latin band are not to be missed. They were amazing and a great end to a great holiday.

The staff and food/ice pops were excellent but the place itself and drinks were not acceptable to me. We booked a last minute holiday with Jet 2 so there was not a lot of choice so we took a gamble and it didn't pay off. First impressions count and it went downhill fast. We arrived hot and tired and the water dispenser in reception was empty with empty cups on the floor. We checked into our rooms having tacled a tempremental scruffy looking lift so again, it'snot hoing well. We'd booked All Inclusive and should have been given wristbands but we weren't. We didn't know we should have had them so assumed everyone was all inclusive if they didn't have bands on. I arrived to my room and the first two things I saw were what looked like a mucky door (unsure if it's rust) and a wonky electrical fitting and further in a bent lamp. Not a great start. Our other room the TV kept going fuzzy. I instantly knew it wasn't the place for me so contacted Jet 2 to change. It was a Sunday so their reservations depar**ent was closed. To cut a long story short, this process would take a minimum of 48 hours to do and only if they had availability and having given it the benefit of the doubt the following couple of days, we checked out and moved to a different hotel which was brilliant. I'd been to the bar a couple of times and was never challenged about our wristbands so was none the wiser. My husband then queued, got to the front and was asked for money for drinks. When he explained we were all inclusive they asked for the bands we were never given. We walked out to the pub next door. Then my son played pool (1 euro) and the table kept breaking and the felt was ripped too. So it might only be 3 star but for me, they're charging 2023 prices and using year dot equipment. I note the bars up to some windows were not on the promo pics either. It needs updating in my view. We made the best decision by moving out. There was little point complaining or giving management the chance to rectify - they couldn't refurb in the 5 days we were there. To reiterate, staff, food, and ice pops were great and doing their best in poor facilities in my view. We all have different standards, but this fell short of mine even for a 3 star.

Definitely on the higher side of a 3 star hotel. Rooms are very spacious and were provided with cooking equipment and utensils. Bed was comfy and the A/C was much needed. Breakfast is pretty standard with a full english,assor**ents of pastries and fruits. Lunch bar is open during most of the day with different items of food and dinners were mostly the same with a section differing each day. Plenty of bars to choose from large selection of drinks and if not they make whatever you like. The shows and live performances every night make it very enjoyable and the occasional magician show is exciting. Overall i think its very good for the price you pay for. Nothing to complain about as the price was hard to beat. Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Tenerife and the hotel did not disappoint. Definitely an option to enjoy yourself on the cheaper side :).

A hotel in which you get what you pay for. Overall a spacious hotel with plenty of pools and lovely staff especially with children. Food a bit boring/repetitive and the drinks could be better (again you pay for what you get). Hill is quite steep getting back up once you go down to the beach. Beds not very comfy and seem to be on wheels and move around a lot which can be annoying. 6/10 overall, good enjoyable stay.. would I stay here again? Probably not.

I definitely say this is a 3-star hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious. The coffee pot blew up on the first use, and we had windows that didn't lock. They don't have a room clean on Sunday and Thursday. The reception look at you like dirt if you ask for clean towels them days. The restaurant is definitely the best of the whole hotel, staff make you feel welcome there.

Second time visiting/staying at this hotel. I've never stayed in the same place more than once, but we enjoyed it that much last year that we decided to visit again this year. The rooms are spacious, clean & well kept. The food for me was great. Always something that I liked on the menu. The staff were all pleasant & helpful. One waiter in particular allowed me to take food to the hotel room from the restaurant as my daughter wasn't feeling 100%. There's a few regular cats who visit or live here which we're nice to see also. We noticed food bowls & cat food left out for them in various locations around the hotel. The pools were clean & well maintained. Only thing that let's the pools down are the masses of people that would queue up, put their towels down, then disappear for the day! Pointless if you ask me. Id happily come again!

Arrived in the evening, check in quick and efficient. Room we had was on 1st floor of block 1112, it was an apar**ent with small kitchenette, plenty of space and storage and very clean. We had a veranda with sun-beds , small table and chairs which captured the sun later in the day. Only complaint is the shower although had plenty of space and was powerful & always hot water, there was no storage for shower gel/shampoo so you had to put on the floor of shower. Good choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner although lacked flavour and not always hot, limited choice for pudding. Soft drinks very sweet, cocktails nice but limited choice There are 2 pools one that is busier and the other at the back of the complex which is quieter, both areas very clean and well maintained with plenty of sun-beds around the pool and on upper level All round the hotel is very clean and well maintained. Room cleaned and towels changed each day apart from Thursdays and Sundays. We had a great relaxing time Entertainment not amazing, short walk to the beach/marina where there are plenty of bars/restaurants. Our only other complaint is it get to the entrance to the hotel you have to walk through the smoking area which is slightly off putting We had a lovely time and would return to the hotel again
