Hotel Baobab Suites

This was our second trip here and loved it. Stopped in a 2 bedroom Serenity Suite with its own pool. Lots of space in the rooms and on the terrace with the pool. The rooms had everything we needed and were cleaned daily. Main swimming pools were good as well and there was no queuing for sun beds. Buffet breakfast is brilliant with lots of choice. Only downside was that after 5pm the Karbon Restaurant is very specialised and not ideal for teenagers. There are restaurants in Playa del Duque that are a 10-15 minute walk downhill. Wasn’t too bad walking back uphill although a taxi may be a better option. We would recommend this hotel and have booked again for December 2024.

I rarely return to a hotel but we enjoyed Baobab so much last Nov that we returned this year. Six of us shared a spacious 3-bedroom suite with a huge terrace and private pool and had a really chilled, hassle free time. Nothing was too much trouble for the ‘butler’ service and the suite was fab. Super comfy beds and great walk in super- strength showers. Breakfast is a highlight at Baobab and there are 3 ways to do it. You can order a breakfast box to your suite, enjoy waitress service and one of their ‘breakfast boards’ at BB’s and enjoy the morning sunshine and views down to Adeje bay or visit the huge new breakfast room, where there’s an amazing choice and excellent service. I don’t usually like the noise and bustle in hotel breakfast rooms but this is different. It’s actually pretty quiet with a nice morning vibe and great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Every member of staff we encountered during our visit was friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Freddie who brightened our mornings and Oliver in BBs who brightened our evenings with his cocktails and chat.

Had a brilliant week’s stay in the Baobab, our suite was really spacious, well equipped and great to have a hot tub with a view over to the hills of Tenerife. Pools were heated and a good size for a decent swim. The buffet breakfast in the Bite restaurant was great, so much choice! We got the breakfast box to our room once and while it was ok it wasn’t as good as the buffet, you didn’t get any hot drinks included. It would have been handy if they had written information about the hotel and maybe given you a look around to show off all the amenities on arrival: while the QR codes are handy it’s nice to be shown things and have them written down. However staff were always really helpful and answered any questions promptly, eg about car hire. It is up a hill from bars and restaurants but taxis came quickly and never cost us more than £9. Would stay here again!

Our third visit to this lovely aparthotel. The suites are spacious and quiet and offer a great sense of privacy with stylish, modern 1 bedroom facilities, fully equipped kitchen, large terrace with a complete set of garden furniture and sun loungers etc. plus the all essential luxurious oversized bathtub. However, the hotel facilities complement this perfectly, the domestic appliances are only there if you want to use them - and it is sparklingly clean and fresh. Excellent daily breakfast (we opt for the boxes delivered to the room) /dinner etc. So the best of both worlds. Location is great for La Caleta and the national park running/walking routes and unspoilt beaches beyond which is our preferred location in Tenerife. Have already booked for a fourth stay in February 25!

Our second stay and this time in a Serenity Mar suite. We LOVE it here, the suite is perfect for our family of 5. The accommodation is a great size and lots of outdoor space with jacuzzi, large pool and patio - the kids enjoyed playing in the San area too. Breakfast at the buffet or in the boxes in the room are equally as good. Sad but true, I love having a washing machine in the suite

This was our first stay in Hotel Baobab and we will definitely be back. A haven of calm and tranquility. It’s very stylish and contemporary and the best place we have every stayed. It’s like having your own private apartment within a luxurious 5 star hotel. Loved every minute. We felt we enjoyed real 5 star luxury for the 8 nights we stayed and it was a wonderful unforgettable experience with luxurious accommodation and outstanding service which made our stay truly memorable. Our one bedroom suite was located on the 6th floor of Montemar block and it was gorgeous. Very spacious, stylish and spotlessly clean. It had everything you needed – lots of storage and hanging space with plenty of hangers, bath robes, ample supply of towels, a good quality hair dryer and the most amazing organic bathroom toiletries which smelt devine. The kitchen area had cooking facilities, plenty of glass wear, crockery, utensils, Nespresso coffee machine which we used regularly, a good sized fridge/freezer and facilities for recycling. Bottled water was left in our room every day. The bed was really comfortable and we both slept so well every night. If needed there was a pillow menu if you wanted different pillows. There was also a washer/dryer, & sun bed towels. Outside on the most amazing terrace there were two comfortable sun beds, a dining table and 4 chairs. We overlooked the pools, mountains and the sea. The views were amazing. A lovely touch was that a bottle of wine/chocolate had been left for us on arrival and a voucher was given to us for a complimentary drink in the bar. There were three options for breakfast. Table service in the bar, breakfast box delivered to your room (you just had to book 24 hours in advance for both) We didn’t do these and opted for the self service buffet every day. The food in the buffet breakfast restaurant is really high quality with lots of different choices of both hot/cold food, and beverages with something for everyone. I am vegetarian and there was plenty of things I could eat. You could have fresh smoothies made daily with your chosen fruit by a lovely lady (sorry I didn’t remember her name) which were delicious. Everything was laid out really well and staff were continually re filling and replenishing bread cereals etc. The staff were really efficient clearing tables and were always welcoming and cheerful. We would like to say a big shout out to Marisol in the restaurant who could not do enough for us. The pool area was quiet with lovely chilled out music and the sunbeds were plentiful and comfortable. We had lunch in the pool bar which was delicious and the views from the bar are amazing. We also had free use of the sports centre across the road which was well equipped with plenty of equipment and plenty of classes to try. We had hired a car and was given a very good secure parking space in the hotel underground car park. Location is really good – its on a steep hill but the views are so worth it

Excellent hotel with good facilities. Would recommend for families with older children as it is situated on a hill. Has an odd layout inside and it took us a while to find the way to our room (we were at the far end of the hotel). Breakfast was great and lots of selection. It costs 4-5 eur to get a taxi into town (worth it on the way back as it is up a hill). Reception offer a free taxi return to Playa del Duque between 9am-5pm but we paid taxi to get to Playa Fanabe and Torvicas which were nicer beaches with more restaurants/shops. Room was a good size for us with a generous terrace which we used to sit out on. I would have preferred 2 bathrooms for a 2 bedroom suite but it was not a big issue for us. Room and communal areas kept very clean. 2 pools on different levels which were 1.4m deep, so better for older children who could swim! Plenty of loungers/sunbeds and a nice sand area which our children enjoyed and saved going down to the beach. Overall a relaxing family holiday and well worth it if you prefer less busy hotels (which we do).

This was our third stay in Hotel Baobab and we’ve already booked again for Xmas. It’s the best place we’ve ever stayed. It’s like having your own luxurious private apartment within a luxurious 5 star hotel. The staff are exceptional - warm, friendly and accomodating. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We enjoyed eating at the pool bar, food is delicious. Also went to the onsite hairdresser the lovely Blanca who is fab. Want to thank everyone and are sorely tempted to book up for Sept - Dec is too far away! Special thanks to Sophie, the 2 Javiers, and all the team on reception including Fabio. Super helpful. We loved the concept of the Baobab suites . Your own private suite complete with decent size fridge freezer and cooking facilities if required. We had two kids with us so the washer / dryer, private pool and safe and enclosed sun deck was a bonus., and at the same time we had all the convenience of Hotel service at our beck and call. Room service was quick and effective via their what’s app , this was very handy and we used it frequently. Two options for breakfast , both very good. In the evenings you could go out to local restaurants ( no shortage of those within walking distance ) , eat on site in the snack bar ( short order food ) or go across the road to their find dining offering the Kar Bon which was also very good. There is a free taxi service to and from the beach every day. The highlight here was the reception / reservations / porter team, so helpful 24/7 they made sure our stay was very special. Also not forgetting the Spa team, providing the adults with some very much needed me time away from the kids. Overall the Baobab suites offer a haven of calm and tranquillity backed up by superb service and guest relations. Do ask for a suite on the higher floors, the lower levels are a bit close to the road. We will be back sooner rather than later.
