El Trebol

We came back again 14 months after our last visit to celebrate my birthday. Yet again, great friendly staff and the expected selection of mixed foods across the week that should suit all tatstes across the board. If you're that fussy then go self catering. We can't really comment on the kids entertainment as we didn't bring any with us. The night we watched the adults entertainment it was a good laugh, and the entertainment staff really threw themselves into it trying to entertain the guests. The only drinks complaint I'd say is that the beer in the AI is supposed to be Amstel but it is much gassier than Amstel bought in bars in the town. Also, their 'Baileys' should really be refrigerated once opened and NOT kept alongside the other spirits as it is a dairy based alcohol and can make people sick if it's not kept this way. The wife felt a little queasy after a drinking it and we discovered its not kept on ice or in a fridge. Couple of points that we noticed that maybe management could address with a couple of signs... - GUESTS TO DRESS APPROPRIATELY WHEN USING THE RESTAURANT - GUESTS TO REMEMBER TO WASH THEIR HANDS WHEN USING THE TOILETS Couple of simple things as noticed a few guests 'forgetting' to wash their hands after using the toilet then going to restaurant and getting cutlery from holders that others use too. Hotel could ensure that hand sanitiser is available in the toilets. Guests using the restaurant with half their body hanging out, along with signs advising guests to cover up properly, maybe staff could enforce. However, yet again, a great stay and I would recommend El Trebol to others and would happily stay here for a third time.

Lovely hotel, room cleaned most days, something to eat each mealtime, I'm gluten free and managed, without making a fuss. TUI team were fabulous. Close to beach, shops, bars and restaurants if you need. Do not listen to the negatives, a holiday is what you make it ☺️ TUI thank you for looking after us, we will be back 😬

I’m not going to say it was all bad but if definitely wasn’t for me and my family. First thoughts of the hotel/room were really nice because we didn’t get there until about 10pm so couldn’t really see faults etc. Noticed, the bedding had holes in, thought absolutely nothing of it because I thought not to worry, it’ll be changed in a couple of days. However, we never had fresh sheets because the bedding never got changed the whole time we were there. Not much of a problem as you change your bedding weekly/2 weekly at home. But the rooms weren’t cleaned until the 5th day and even then wasn’t to a high standard. No new towels until the end of the week too which I thought was strange to be honest. They didn’t hire beach towels out either but that wasn’t much of a problem because the pools were absolutely brassic and I didn’t see more than 5-10 people in the pools the whole time we were there. Non of our family went in, including my 6 year old little boy. The grounds were ok, few cockroaches but wasn’t over run. The sun loungers were nearly all reserved which shouldn’t be allowed. The food was a strange concoction of whatever they thought of. The drinks were weak. The adult only bar was completely pointless because people were bringing there own drinks in from the all inclusive which I don’t think was fair considering I had to leave my child with the grandparents to even experience this. The location is probably the best part about this hotel.. right next to the spar, plenty of shops, 10-15 min walk to the beach and plenty of lovely restaurants. I probably wouldn’t return here as we were all inclusive and found some of the food inedible so we spent more or less €1000 euros eating out breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, the week before we came it seemed like a lot of people had food poisioning.

My God some people just love to moan!! It’s a decent 3* hotel. It’s very reasonably priced. Plenty of seating inside and out. Entertainment a bit like butlins….. but hey go out if you don’t like it. Plenty of sun beds, yes many were reserved but there were still loads piles up to use. Food every day was fine something for everyone. Drinks were ok but very very weak. Rooms were cleaned (nearly) every day but no I don’t think there was a lot of mopping of floors! Beds comfy has air con and all staff very friendly. Do not let negative comments put you off…. It’s not 5* you get what you pay for. BUT yes the towels are not good 😂

Fifth time we’ve been to this excellent hotel great value for money and in a great location. Reception Checking in couldn’t have been in easier we normally have one of the easy access rooms but it wasn’t available until the next day but the accommodated us brilliantly and sorted us out the next day. Entertainment staff were the best we’ve ever had iggy, slija and kenady interacted with all guests, Linda was new but also joined in with all the activities and was being trained. Each night and day the pit in so much effort and our a credit to your hotel, Food They had a varied menu at breakfast bacon is a bit tough but freshly cooked omelettes pancakes and fried eggs on request. Lunch time had a good selection of food and drinks but it got busy sometimes Evening meal themed nights including Asian, Morrocon, Mexican Italian Canarian, and roast dinner very good each evening Bars Good choice of beers and spirits and the added bonus of a sports bar next door were you can get the best pint of Heineken for 3 euros in iced glass All in all a great holiday Negatives Pool very cold Cleaner staff hit and miss we had no change of sheets in a week Put any valuables in the safe as a watch of mine went missing my own fault for leaving it in room when I went swimming Thank you so Much to all your staff Lunch time had

Nice clean resort .Few wild cats roaming around . Pools are really cold even the supposed heated middle one .This together with the constant breeze makes it quite chilly but don't be deceived ...the sun is still strong so you will tan or burn if you don't use sunscreen . Food is ok ..not the best 3 star we have stayed in....could be warmer . Drinks are ok coke ,Fanta ,tonic ,beer ,wine and sangria on tap....lovely hot chocolate. Cocktails aren't nice ....pre packaged Entertainment ok . Sea about 10 mins walk .Warmer than the pool and great for wave jumping . Resort a bit tired looking . Lots of British /Irish pubs around .Centre about 15 min walk but only 4 euro in taxi

We laughed at other reviews when they said 'bring your own bathroom towel', but my one bit of advice is bring your own towel! The towels provided are small and seem to repel water, I've got a pair of leather trousers that are more absorbent. But seriously, the hotel is good but has room for improvement. The location is ideal, the pool area, rooms and gardens are generally tidy. The room is spacious, really comfy beds and is super insulated from outside noise. Loungers are comfy too. Balconies are large and private. Generally it's a good hotel but there were too many things that annoyed us, other than the towels! I'll start with the pool, it closes at 6pm along with the pool bar despite the sun shining on it to 7:30pm. To make sure you vacate the pool they start stacking up the loungers and hosing down the pool area whilst you're sitting there. The earliest we saw this start was 4:30pm. There's not enough outside seating to accommodate people once the pool closes. Nor is there enough seating for the evening entertainment - and we visited in an off peak week. Food was hit and miss, some nights were really good like Italian night, but Chinese night was awful. One evening they provided some mashed potato but it was Smash! The next morning the hash browns were also Smash. Rooms are cleaned 5 times a week and towels changed every 3 days. Cleaning seems to mean making the bed, our floor wasn't mopped for our entire stay. Food at the pool bar was poor, partly warm burgers etc. There's plenty of signs up with rules around the pool, i.e. don't reserve loungers, no running, kids must be accompanied at all times, don't take glasses outside the restaurant etc. But no one enforces any rule. Annoying kids running wild, we saw loungers reserved and unused for 2 consecutive days with the same towels, kids playing football in the outside bar area, glasses being taken to the pool - nothing is enforced. If you are staying here, don't worry, it's a decent hotel, just a few too many things we didn't like.

Went on a mother daughter trip and we had such a great time! The entertainment staff go above and beyond and we really enjoyed taking part in the activities, both day and night time. Shoutout to Iggy, Maja, Silja and Kennedi. The food is as you would expect but with some variety as they had different themed nights. Made good friends with the lifeguard too. About a 15-20 minute walk to the main shops and restaurants but there are some nearby also. We went on the bus to Puerto del Carmen for a day, the waterpark and also to the Sunday market. The reception was helpful with information. Would return in the future!

This is the second time for this hotel and it still didn't dissappoint me. The staff in the restaurant work really hard and the variety of food at breakfast lunch and evening is really good. The hotel was always kept clean and staff at reception friendly. Plenty of sunbeds available during the day. Great location. I will definitely return.
