Definitely not a 5* but a decent 4*. Like other reviews say, the 5* experience is reserved for the Reserve guests (padded sun loungers, access to the two pools, a la carte breakfast, priority reservations etc.) Pool for the non reserve guests is beautiful and very clean. Chilly but once in, not an issue for us. Shame no Bali beds, even if you had to pay it seemed like a missed opportunity. Pool bar hut has great service selection. No little extras like ice lollies offered or even once a day walking around with something speckle like an ice blended cocktail sample to try… all ver self service. Evening entertainment in the Ginger bar is pleasant and low key, resort as a whole caters to an older crowd- probably 60+. Beach bar has a great dj and boho ish type feel but only ever a couple people there! No music playing anywhere else. Daily exercise activities looked great, small groups c.6 for yoga, Pilates etc. SUP yoga in the pool looked fun although not brave enough to try! Restaurants were good. Great starters at the Italian, pasta mains average. Odd you have to pay extra for lobster pasta when lobster served in the buffet? The Lebanese was our favourite- beautiful restaurant with a**osphere too, you can sneak a peak into the Reserve pool area too. The tasting menu restaurant was good, with good wine selection. Better wine seemed to be available at dinner than the ginger bar, I think you could pay for other wine. Likewise, served some premium brand alcohol but not all unless reserve guest- for example an have Bombay or Tanqueray Gin but not Hendrix on display without paying… surly there isn’t that much of a price difference to include?! Not an issues but these little things add up to definitely make you clear it’s a 4* not 5. Lunch at the Ginger bar was very good- bar type food and served to your table- club sandwiches, burgers etc. booked evening restaurants in the app with no problem. One night only 9pm free but never had a problem getting a booking. Buffet, meh… it was fine but nothing special. Food labels aren’t overly clear and not always hot. Not a real buffet fan in general however. Location- beautiful 5k walk along the seafront through the little beach town. All pedestrian/ cycle only paths. Walked it most mornings. No water sports etc with the resort but can head c.5min walk right out of the beach bar and water sport places all along the public beach fronts with sun loungers you can pay for if wanted. No high end looking bars or restaurants however to temp us to venture out- a lot of British type pubs etc/ typical Spanish holiday ***** type places. Room- we were on the first floor several rooms down from the lift. Small but well decorated, beautiful marble floors and a giant well pressured shower. Good products provided. Had a lovely sea view even though a resort view room booked (albeit lower down than those on higher floors). Balcony ‘old school beach chairs’ didn’t realise until the last day they adjust on the
