My wife and I enjoyed three days at this superb B&B in early July. The hospitality was first rate. We were met at the station by Antoine, and were made welcome and at ease from the first minute. Our room, on the top floor with a view of the cathedral, was clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were excellent, with plenty of fruit, cereal, delicious bread and good coffee. We also enjoyed a fine dinner one evening, prepared especially for us as vegetarians. Nothing was too much trouble for Antoine and his partner Nicholas, who have created a very friendly, tasteful and restful environment for visiting the city of Coutances. If you go there, do not miss the cathedral and the beautiful Jardin des Plantes.

We very luckily stumbled across La Villegiature in a last minute search for somewhere to stay on our way to Cherbourg. Despite only giving them 90 minutes notice we arrived to a warm welcome, a beautiful room - and a simply stunning dinner! Our hosts were delightful - they have created a warm, inviting and spacious environment that is most beautifully decorated and displayed. The food was exceptional, the room bright and spacious - all just perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you - we cannot recommend your property and catering highly enough!

Probably the best chambres d’hôte we’ve stayed in. Late 19th century house that has been modernised very tastefully. Bedrooms are big, the bed very comfortable and the shower great. Breakfast was brilliant. Loads of choice, delicious and virtually all home made. The proprietors were so welcoming and helpful. They advised us where to eat in the evening and booked it for us. Apparently they will cook dinner if booked beforehand. They are trained chefs and I’m sure that would be really good too. Thoroughly recommended.

2ᵉ séjour à la Villégiature, accueil toujours aussi agréable, chambre impeccable et petit déjeuner excellent. Antoine est toujours de bon conseil pour les bonnes adresses en ville. Le jardin de la maison est aussi incroyable. À faire et refaire !

Accueil chaleureux et souriant. Maison et chambres idylliques ( très bonne literie ) dans un écrin de verdure. Petits déjeuners variés et copieux, dîners délicieux ( que du fait maison et des produits frais locaux) mention spéciale pour les desserts. Merci encore à Antoine et Nicolas pour leur bienveillance. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit exceptionnel

Un petit coin de paradis, joyaux caché à Coutances. L’accueil est formidablement chaleureux, les chambres rénovées et décorées avec goût, la cuisine délicieuse. La maison dégage le bonheur et l’histoire dans un écrin de verdure. Je recommande chaudement.
