This is an excellent hotel in Deadwood. Perfect location, convenient to everything in downtown. A friendly and welcoming staff. Vintage vibe throughout. Clean comfortable large rooms with high ceilings. We travel quite a bit and this is one of the best experiences we’ve had in some time. Very good value for money here.

My wife and I just completed a very enjoyable three night stay at the Iron Horse Inn. The hospitality of everyone that works there is exceptional. Our room was very clean, spacious and unique. The owner is one of the most pleasant people we met on our trip. The onsite parking is very convenient and the location is perfect. I would highly recommended staying at this hotel to anyone staying in Deadwood or the surrounding area.

Great place to stay while visiting Deadwood, the Needles, Custer State Park, and Mickelson Trail. The Iron Horse employees were so friendly and accommodating. Chris was a wonderful host and had such interesting stories to share. The private parking was so convenient. We really enjoyed our stay. Best place to stay in Deadwood!

The hotel was quaint and perfect! The staff were great. Very caring and attentive. It was quiet and perfect for someone just needing some peace and quiet to get aeay to.Loved it and am hoping to come back in the fall to see the changing of the leaves. I want to bring my husbamd amd parents.

Love this hotel. Very clean and location is great. We have stayed at a few different hotels in Deadwood but what puts this one above the rest was the staff. I can't say enough on how great they were. They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Definitely going back.

We were looking for a historic hotel and this hit the mark perfectly! Fantastic location within easy walking distance to Main Street, on site parking which is big deal in Deadwood and the ambience of the hotel is just perfect! Clean and comfortable, it’s locally owned so don’t expect the 24 hour service of a chain hotel. However, you’re given a code to a side door so you can let yourself in when the front door is locked. Also, contrary to other reviews, you don’t need to do any steps. There’s just certain entrances that won’t work for you. But to access the hotel and your room, no steps are needed. Troy was super helpful and kind and Cheri was a sweetheart as well! We loved everything about this place and will definitely stay again!!!

Great location for walking to all local attractions and restaurants. Recently renovated but thankfully they kept the Old West feel. The owner and staff were awesome! Troy, Sheri and Erica were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely plan to stay here again.

We have stayed here many times and each time we have loved it!! It’s a great location, they have their own parking lot. The staff is amazing! They also have a bar downstairs! In my opinion it’s the coolest bar in deadwood!! They also have amazing food!!!

We stayed here at the last minute since the Bullock Hotel had cancelled our reservations on us. They had a room available and were very gracious to have us. Very nice staff, clean room and very helpful to our needs. Old historic which is what we wanted.
