Heritage Resort Shark Bay

Waited over an hour for our meal which was already to long.. but excited to be in shark bay with all the local seafood, especially the scallops.. my favourite seafood.. I ordered the scallop and prawn linguini.. delicious flavour, but disappointed with a total of 3/4 of a scallop (yes less than a single scallop!) and 6 prawns in my dish! For $34, this was way too much!! Front of house staff were great and apologetic and tried to compensate.. but Don’t like a restaurant that treats guests that way..

We quite liked this Motel. And I would call it a motel rather than a resort. It had quality fittings, it was in a nice location on a side street that had glimpses of the ocean and it was in a good spot in this lovely waterside town. A continental breakfast was included with our booking and the staff where very very nice. We would stay at this place again. Like all locations there were a couple of negatives. The had no desire to use the balcony but if you did it is very very small. Our room was on the 2nd Level and there is no lift so we had to lift our bagage up the stairs. There was a large palm in the open area of the complex not far from our front door which banged against the walls in strong winds. Regardless of the negatives I have outlined it is still a very nice motel with nice staff. We didn't try the restaurant at all as we found a very nice cafe nearby with very very nice meals at a much lower price than the restaurant associated with this motel.

I read a lot of reviews. So we decided to stay here based on the promo and the 4 star rating. No way is this 4 star. We were in room 11 with a king bed and ocean view. The room was big and roomy. There was a king bed but it was oh so uncomfortable. The wifi was spasmodic. As for the door onto the tiny verandah you could hardly open it and it was a challenge to lock it too. There was no insect screen on the door so leaving it open for fresh air and no bugs was not an option. The balcony was real small. Parking was plentiful. The shelf in the bathroom fell off. The toilet had only 1 half flush function. The other side didn’t work. The shower was good though and there was a mini bar. We dined at the restaurant and wow was that different. We had 3 drinks each and they were the same but each time we were charged a different price - only found out about this when I checked my payment record. As for the food we had entrees of calamari- really nice and cheesy garlic bread - nice and tasty and lots of pieces. Our entrees had just arrived and our mains arrived 2 minutes later - sorry kitchen made a mistake we were told. Our mains were chicken Caesar salad. What a joke of a meal. In reality the mains were inedible. The biggest panko bread crumbed piece of chicken that had been cooked to death and was tasteless and we really needed a saw to cut it. There was 4 croutons and a smattering of cut lettuce. We found a small amount of Caesar dressing in a corner and this meal was also served with chips. We had paid for a cooked breakfast when we booked on line some time earlier but had to wait until 8am to get this as the chef didn’t start until 8am. We had poached eggs and bacon. Probably the best meal we had there. This place is old and really need some serious spending on it to make it 4 star.

Friendly staff, lovely room with a view, - had a top floor balcony room - room 28 spotlessly clean - lovely bathroom - would certainly recommend a visit

Had a wonderful stay in denham at Heritage resort, the staff were lovely and made us felt spoilt for our honeymoon getaway, the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, complimentary hot breakfast is a bonus, thanks so much for looking after us.

We were given a room with a view of their garbage area. The room smelled like mold. The mattress was in desperate need of replacing. We spoke to the staff about the room but they refused to move us even though the hotel was not full. The breakfast didn’t open early enough.

Dinner at the restaurant tonight very lack luster, squid was deep fried like you would buy from the supermarket in a 1kg bag I was expecting lightly dusted succulent locally sourced squid but got this instead, partner had dry chicken parmi with prawns…. Prawns were good and that’s where it ends dry thin chicken not enough sauce… The upside was the lovely Evie who looked after us was brilliant!!! Polite and friendly and in all fairness she wasn’t cooking so not her fault. Good for a drink but not to eat
