The hotel is very outdated to say the least. The key cards very rarely work when you need them too. Internet is beyond terrible.

Super 8 is a good value -- very clean, quiet, and comfortable. There are no frills and it could use some updating, but I was pleasantly surprised by my stay. The staff were all very nice.

The morning after we checked in as we were leaving for the day we discovered that the door to our room did not lock. We had to leave and management wanted us to wait for maintenance to fix it later in the day and leave our stuff unprotected in the room. The exterior doors to the building do not lock and anyone can walk into the building. After some discussion on how unsafe our stuff would be if left unattended, manager finally agreed to move us to a different room. Several light bulbs were burned out in both rooms. The rooms were clean but very outdated.

The room carpet was dirty. My 22 month old got black feet from walking barefoot in the room. The blanket and towels were ripped and stained. The continental breakfast was very poor for the following reasons: expired fermented orange juice, the waffle batter was gross (didn't look fresh). There was very little yogurt, only white bread, no fruit. We won't be staying there again.

We use this hotel nearly every year coming through Iowa. The owner is pleasant and the price is great. Our room was comfortable and clean. Could have had another bath towel in the bath area, however. All was clean. We did not use the breakfast, so cannot comment.

The sheets had holes in them, and didn't fit the mattress. Lumpy bed and flat pillows. One star hotel.
Convenient to the interstate is the best thing about this hotel.

Definitely one of those places where you get what you pay for. The room was clean and spacious, just pretty dated. Overall, an okay experience.

The sheets were so old you could read through them. Also, the towels were old and yellow clean, but very old. The drapes were old everything needed to be refurbished. The staff at checkout refused to give me a receipt to check for extra charges , said that it was their policy that I had to get it from ******* only

The breakfast was a joke muffins and coffee with two bananas and some waffle mix in a open jug we decIded to go to the sunshine cafe
