If you intend to stay at Palm Jumeirah the entire duration, the location would make sense.
If you're going in and out of Palm Jumeirah, then be prepared for some traffic during peak hours or even to the point of not being able to book a taxi when you need to get out!
Amenities were not replenished daily - toothbrush, razors, for example. We had to ask each day. Kinda odd for a hotel.
Service crew were polite and helpful - especially at breakfast! Cafe crew was also excellent.
My 11-year old went to Ripples Bar to get a scoop of vanilla ice cream one eveing and the wait staff at the Ripples Bar, told her, its a treat for little children on Chris**as Day, which made her day! Kudos for that!
We were hoping for a high floor - with a view but we were on the 3rd floor with a partially blocked view (we saw most of a balcony top) despite paying for a sea view.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown
