An old building doesn't mean an old standard , isn't it ? C/I evening too tired to complain, got the room with dirty things left such as : used face mask behind side table, dirty paper inside table drawer , tissue paper cover left on the floor inside bathroom, bath liquid was not filled, fushed bulb Infront bathroom door, dirty balcony,dishwasher sink smell a very strong stinked ( they do really need to check the pipe, it smell horrible ! It seems the room was not inspected before release to the guest arrival.
However HSK team leader and the team did best to enhanced all the cleanliness. Next few days, each time they make up the room, instead to change the linens, they did onlyy spray the blanket to look neat but the stain it last ! I'm not sure if this really 3* or 4* hotels ? Each time did turn down service ,there is always things incomplete, bath towel left only 1 while the room was double occupancy.
Surprisingly, each time we ask to refresh the room in the evening , either housekeeping operator or telephone operator answer the same things " housekeeping only come from 9am to 5pm, after no more ". Is this their standard to have only day time service or they have lack of manning?. We got perhaps a privilege from Fahim who allow us to get service anytime we wish to,thanks Fahim !
Also the telephone operator, aren't they supposed to have standard on how to pick up the guest call or answering like "hallo? / Yes,can I help you?/yes,wht do you want? " Is normal things to them ? I bet they won't remember wht they said to me but I'm also hotelier,at least 3* hotel has standard on responding the guest call.
We did express our gratitute to housekeeper who look after our stuff,we give some sweet bites but we got an answer like this ?
They did apologize of course , but it was disrespectful.. Pls Grand Emirates Hotel Manager, ensure to give English training to the staff on how to solve the guest issue with appropriate words, jst to be sure fire them isn't a solution,noted that !
Advise to further guest, jst make sure check the room first before pay and always pay on the spot, not recomend to pay in advance , you might get fooled. There is nothing we could do than shortened the stay 2days earlier.
