The Longhorn Ranch Resort Lodge & RV Park

What a gem this property is! I stayed in the lodge and the room was nice and large and extremely clean and nicely kept up. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was great with good water pressure. The lodge rooms have a back door also that leads to the back deck with seating that was nice at night. The river was gorgeous and the chairs and swing were a nice addition to sit and enjoy the serenity especially as the sun is setting. If you’re looking for a place outside of Jackson book a room here, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed in the RV Park although the cabins looked very well maintained. The RV Pk sites were large and deep. Ours was on the Wind River and the little ducklings were prolific...so cute. Those campsites in the inner park were heavily treed. The Ones, like ours, not treed but backed right up to the Wind River with lots of space between campsites. A very nice park!!

Found The Longhorn Ranch online after visiting Yellowstone & The Grand Tetons on our way back to Colorado. We enjoyed a relaxing evening in their queen deluxe room. It was charming, comfortable, and very clean. The Lodge was fantastic with their communication via emails and text. We checked in around 8:15 pm and Whitney was wonderful in welcoming us. The property is well maintained, and beautiful with spectacular views. Our only regret was staying one night. We look forward to coming back for a longer visit. With a grateful heart ~ thank you for having us.

Very unique and exciting place. Rustic looking and designed, but with all the modern necessities. Microwave and larger mini fridge. Easiest check-in I've ever encountered. Cool back porch overlooking fireplace. Easy in and out. Along the river. Friendly staff. Even though the ice machine was broken, they had small bags of ice for the asking. Best place we have stayed in a long time.

We stayed at the Longhorn RV Resort for 2 weeks. We wanted a park that did not feel like a parking lot even if it was a drive to the Tetons and Yellowstone . This park far exceeded our expectations. The RV sites are spread apart under huge Cottonwood trees. Our pull thru site was fairly close to another RV, but many had a lot of space between. The Wind River flows thru the back of the park. The park is beautifully maintained with a large pavilion with a huge fire pit and playground nearby . The front desk staff was friendly and even found me a back in site for one night when I messed up and arrived one day early. There’s a small gift shop and store inside the front office. The laundry is spic and span and had an ADA shower inside. My favorite part…..the 6 completely self contained shower rooms. (Shower, sink, toilet) Each morning they were cleaned to great standards. ( our bathroom shower is cramped) Best thing ..our site #7 was across the driveway from it. The drive to the Tetons is long (not to get to the gate, to get anywhere inside the park) The drive there made up for the distance. We made many trips there. I felt that Yellowstone was too far to be doable more than once. We found plenty of beautiful out of the way lakes and beautiful drives to keep us busy. The Wi-Fi was not reliable, so if you rely on good Wifi, this park might not be for you. The town of Dubois is charming with many choices for eating out, for grocery shopping and even a bowling alley/arcade/bakery/sandwich shop inside. Eat at the Cowboy Cafe. You’ll see why anytime you drive by. Never empty. Did I love this park? More than any other we have ever stayed in.

Horrible cleaning service Extremely unpleasant customer service Aggressively rude customer service and management. Nice location with unfortunate poor customer service and experience. This place would not be one you want to return again . No clean room, noise at nights not controlled , poor plumbing maintenance.

This place was our saving grace. My hubby and I were trying to drive through the night to our destination, however got too tired around Dubois. We pulled into this beautiful place and were pleased to find a late check in box with a key, directions and a nice note welcoming us to stay at 2 am in the morning!! The room was amazingly clean and heated up quickly. And the bedding was crisp with great pillows! Even better, the blackout curtains allowed use to sleep until check out. At check out it was great to meet the new owner who was pleasant to talk to, made my hubby a fresh pot of coffee and luckily had a soda and a few breakfast items. I wish I had time to look at the pretty turquoise jewelry on display. I did take a few minutes to walk to some of the RV sites by the river picturing my next trip to this place, sitting by a fire pit, looking at the stars, my fifth wheel behind me and hearing the river bubble by. On my next trip I will be visiting the National Military Vehicle Museum just a few miles away!

Nice motel. Budget friendly. Our room had a single queen size bed. Bed was comfortable. Pillows seemed smaller, half the normal size. The room was clean. Water was hot. Check-in was pretty straightforward, and the desk attendant was nice. Just be advised, most restaurants close by 8:00 pm (at least in September), so plan your food accordingly. (Although, I believe the bars were still open later.) The RV park made for a nice little area to walk through after dinner and after having sat in a car driving all day. Overall, I would recommend and would stay again.

Longhorn Ranch offers horseback rides but about 6 of the horses were in pain and suffering from neglect due to Longhorn Ranch not wanting to spend money on proper care. A white horse held in a small corral had back hooves so split the crack went up to the tissue and the horse limped. Horses require hoof trimming which costs money but the 6 horses hooves were so long they were spreading and beginning to curl. These 6 horses were so neglected they didn't even know what a carrot was and didn't want one. Several were too thin to the point of ribs showing, which could be due to lack of food or poor dental care (a well cared for horse has their teeth filed routinely, since when not in the wild the teeth don't get ground down naturally.) It was difficult to enjoy a clean room and daily housekeeping with this going on outside the window.
