In the heart of Dunbar, this 3 Silver star AA awarded property is located just 50 metres from the sandy Dunbar Beach. The traditional hotel offers home-cooked food and a bar. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The elegant bedrooms each have modern en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and ironing facilities. Guests can relax in the 1902 Bar, which offers a wide selection of malt whiskies, local ale, spirits and cocktails. Drinks and snack are also available in the lobby area. The Grill restaurant serves traditional food and local specialities using fresh local Scottish produce. Dunmuir hotel is less than 10 minutes' walk from Dunbar Railway and the town centre. Dunbar Golf Club is 5 minutes' walk, Winterfield Golf Course is a 6-minute car drive, and Tantallon Castle is a 20-minute drive away. The 1902 grill restaurant which has been awarded 1 Rosette for culinary excellence serving traditional local, Scottish dishes with a choice to suit all. We stayed at the Dunmuir for a wedding locally, the price of the room was reasonable, and when we arrived the staff were very helpful. The rooms are a little on the small side but very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom / shower and the usual amenities including tv, tea and coffee. I would highly recommend the hotel, the only minor gripe was the room we were in must have thin walls or the occupants of next door were very loud.

The staff at the Dunmuir are first class - so attentive and professional but friendly too. The beds are comfortable and rooms very clean and spacious. The food is quality no matter what you choose to eat. Breakfast is served to the table including toast - no standing trying to use those horrible toasters (which never toasts!) There is a small cosy bar for pre dinner drinks or coffees. Lesley in particular is smashing ( no offence to the other staff who are great) but Lesley was run off her feet but still kept smiling and delivered first class service at breakfast. All in all, we have stayed in the Dunmuir a few times and hope to return sooner than later. Thanks very much 😀😀

Easy to book in online. Guaranteed our party of four two twin bed rooms for two nights. We were prompted for dinner bookings and online registration, but all very civil and straightforward. Rooms were clean, comfortable, well equipped. The breakfasts were absolutely superb! Nice little bar and restaurant. We ate at the restaurant (after pre-booking) on the Friday night, and the starters and main course were all well presented, fresh, hot, and delicious. Can't fault this place for anything, and good value too. Must go again in summer and tour more of beautiful Dunbar!

We stayed for two nights at the Dunmuir. I have to say that it was superb! The room was huge and enough space for three of us. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful and managed to fit us in to the restaurant at short notice despite being very busy and must say the meals were beautiful. My son was playing in a golf competition at Gullane and had a very early tee time on the Sunday and the owner managed to arrange a tremendous cooked breakfast for us before we set off. A massive thank you to owners and staff of the Dunmuir from the Keith family. Will most definitely recommend and return.

Stayed here on Sunday night ,what a beautiful hotel , we stayed in room 5 it was gorgeous, bed was so comfy and bathroom was huge ,we ate at the returant in hotel too and that was also very nice my husband had the fish it was massive ,we will definitely be back

Absolutely love this place,, the owners Phillip and lesley treat you like you've been friends for years, we visit the hotel 3 times a year and have done for the past couple of years to the point we would not stay anywhere else,, the rooms are amazing whether its a standard room or superior ( we have stayed in both ) room the beds are so comfortable with excellent quality bedding, the food is amazing and the breakfasts set you up for the day ,, your every need is catered to and if there's something you need the staff are always happy to oblige,, some people maybe put off as dogs are allowed to stay but I personally have never had a problem and the dogs I've seen have always been well behaved,, I honestly cannot say enough about the Dunmuir Hotel it's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location

Fantastic 2 night stay at the Dunmuir Hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was fortunate to be able to access my room around 1pm. The room was very nice and definitely 4 star as opposed to 3 star. Ate there one e evening and the food was terrific. Breakfast both mornings was excellent. Would definitely recommend as somewhere to stay if you’re visiting the area.

Wonderful value, very clean, great breakfast including haggis. Very helpful and friendly staff and a very comfortable bed. Quiet at night, decent shower, good size to the room. Fairtrade coffee, which is fantastic. Nice decoration, overall a really good place to stay

Friendly hotel, I had a small double but as I was on single occupancy this was no problem, bathroom had been recently refurbished. Nice bar in hotel, we were a party of 8 golfers we ate at the hotel 1 night and the food was good, having to pre-order breakfast is not good and the sausages were of a lower quality than the hotel should have provided. The price was good for the area and we would come back again another year There are enough parking spaces, and it’s only a short walk into Dunbar town.
