The Hideaway Experience

The Hideaway has everything a luxury location could offer, peace, wonderful facilities and a stunning view. Nothing has been missed, each Hideaway is slightly different, we stayed in the Dreamers and with its hot tub and sauna all in its own plot that is set well away from the other Hideaways, you can truly relax. Caroline, Ross and the team have created a magical place to escape the hectic world we live in and they were all perfect hosts and should be proud of themselves. Thank you

Exceptional hosts, fantastic location and amazing facilities. This absolutely stunning experience was phenomenal - made even better by the most wonderful hosts you could wish to meet. Caroline and Ross treated me like one of the family, and I'm sure they will have done the same for their other guests too. What stood out most was just how quiet and picturesque the location is. I'm rather jealous of those who get to see this everyday and views like this are priceless. The retreat itself is perfect whether you wish to relax, unwind, go for a walk, run and see the glorious surroundings of farm life and the countryside. My accommodation has a specialist heated room, sauna, spacious bedroom and all the facilities in it to make it feel homely. The work the business has done to promote Scottish agritourism is phenomenal. If the opportunity came around to stay again, I would do so within a heartbeat, and I strongly urge anyone to do so right away. Everything was perfect. It was lovely to be greeted with freshly baked bread as you enter the kitchen, the butter and jam and the beverages and bottle of fizz were appreciated. The cleanliness and quality of furnishing and fi**ents in the lodge is first class. We loved that everything seems thought through and liked the small touches like having the table set ready for our first relaxing meal The quiet seclusion is so peaceful, views are fabulous, and wildlife and sky watching was great. We will certainly be returning as we found it so easy to relax especially with the sole use of your very own in lodge sauna and tepidarium. Our weather wasn’t perfect so we couldn't use all the facilities on the deck but the partially covered hot tub was well used. The owners and staff should be proud of what they have achieved at The Hideaway Experience, it certainly is 5*.

We had the most amazing time staying in The Stargazers for 2 nights for my husbands 40th birthday. The hideaway was worth every penny. We did not see a soul over our stay and this is exactly what we wanted. The hideaway was equipped with everything you need and the fresh warm bread, butter and a bottle of Prosecco were a great extra at no cost. Morning coffees in the hot tub... to evening drinks in the hot tub! Pure bliss. The lay out and the views were just perfect. We ordered in from the local Chinese takeaway and they delivered straight to the door. We both agreed that we would definitely book again for the next special occasion.

Always one of our favourites. It’s been quite some time since our last visit….Beautiful, peaceful and always feels like a treat. From our first email to checking out, you cannot fault The Hideaway. Although our stay was only one night, it’s just so great to switch off, relax and enjoy the surroundings. Five star comfort and luxury. We feel very lucky to have this so close to home.

This is our second visit to the hideaway and we’re already planning our third. Each hideaway has private 5 star luxury accommodation that has everything you need to relax from the sauna, double shower and bath, king size bed, underfloor heating log burner, large sofa, sky tv, fully equipped kitchen and hot tub.

I can’t describe how amazing the Hideaway is, if you want relaxation and pampering then this is the place to go. We went for a 4 night break in the Stargazers lodge, this lodge is by far the best lodge we have ever been to. When we arrived we were greeted to a warm and very inviting place, there was a bottle of fizzy wine in the fridge which was a lovely touch as well as homemade bread, butter and strawberry & champagne jam (yum). The fridge is amazing, sounds sad but with filtered water and crushed or cubed ice this was brilliant. Moving onto the rest, well the living area was so comfy with a fab smart tv which you can connect with Netflix etc and play music through the Sonos system throughout the lodge and the views were outstanding. The bedroom was also very comfy with a super king size bed, in the bathroom you will find the sauna, heated relaxation area, double powerful shower and double bath and outside was the hot tub, the hot tub was a fab place to be for the winter sunrise and sunset. We decided to add extras onto our stay and booked the mini spa trea**ent with sharne who was fantastic and we highly recommend, we also bought the couples essential butcher breakfast and scotch beef box once again highly recommend. Overall for relaxation this is the place to go. We look forward to returning again and again.

We had a wonderfully relaxing couples break for 3 nights at the Dreamers Hideaway. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and had excellent facilities and views. It has a hot tub with a partial cover overhead which was perfect to enjoy it even during some heavy rain. The bathroom was beautiful with amazing views, a huge roll top bath, double shower and an indoor sauna which was so relaxing. We took our own food to make but there are shops in nearby Dundee so as much as you feel like you are in the middle of no where you are still close enough to get essentials if required. There was a fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine which had everything we needed. The bed was a great size and very comfy. Waking up to those views was lovely with the full height sliding door windows in each room. We were welcome to the hideaway by Millie who was so friendly and helpful. We had a query about the heating one night and she helped us with this then followed it up the following day to check on us. We requested extra logs for the burner which were brought early the next morning. We loved the log burner which can be seen from the living room and the bedroom, this is a great feature of the hideaway, especially during the stormy weather we had. It was very cosy! There was a very handy and informative welcome pack. We had a fantastic quiet break away which I would highly recommend. We would love to return during the summer to use the bbq, explore the local area and try one of the other hideaways.

Great romantic retreat, We stayed in The Romantics which was truly 5 star. Spotlessly clean, beautiful location, perfect to relax and unwind. We had booked for a 90min massage which Sharne came and set up her table in the bedroom definitely worth booking. We will be back!
