Dundee Centre

This is a very nice hotel and situated perfectly only a short walk from the city centre shops, most importantly it has its own car park with ample spaces, my wife has a disability and we got parked in a disabled space right outside hotel reception, parking is charged at only £4 per night. The disabled room we had was very clean and spacious and had a large toilet with wet floor and power shower, food in the attached beefeater restaurant was also very good breakfast and dinner, I can’t really fault this hotel.

This hotel was horrendous. The staff were extremely unhelpful, laughing when I went to the desk to complain. There was no couch in the room, I have stayed in Premier Inn rooms up and down the country and there has always been a couch in each double room I have booked. However the reception staff here insist that a couch only comes in a triple room. This room was clearly set up for one adult, despite me phoning 2 days before our arrival to ensure they were aware 2 adults would be staying in the room. The air conditioning did not work, which forced me to go and complain again at Reception, they were then able to control this remotely meaning that it was warm but then turned into a sauna in the middle of the night. They refused to move us to another room despite this one having a massive void where a couch would normally sit, dampness in the bathroom, broken air con and only one chair for two people. They also refused to put two bath towels in the room, insisting we had to go back to reception later in the evening as towels were not available. We had clearly been put in a part of the hotel which requires maintenance, with both the state of this room and frayed carpets in the corridor. Will think twice about booking another Premier Inn after this.

Excellent 7 night stay, bed really comfortable, some of the best night sleeps in a long time. Great location. Had a good continental breakfast (cooked available) cane up with hubby to visit his parents, definitely recommend, will be back next year

Booked 2 nights here and it was perfect. We requested a river view, which we got. Breakfast, as always was good. We also had one evening meal here on their special deal. You do have to pay for parking but it is only £4 a night. Location is perfect for exploring Dundee

I was told that the parking had to be paid on arrival and not on departure as displayed on the car park signage. As the parking was not exempt for disabled drivers I paid £4 per night in advance ( £8 in total ). After I had paid I found it would have cost me nothing if I parked in the car park next to the hotel restaurant. Lowest of the Low why would I not be directed to park there? Taking money off disabled people.

I’ve stayed here 3 times in a year very highly recommended very comfortable rooms good unpretentious food all at a great price the only fault was the automated check in was not working something of a queue at the check in desk great location at the side of the river and very close to the city centre and train station

Stay one night with hubby to just get away for the night. Staff were friendly and professional. Room was clean and great size, bed was very comfortable. Restaurant staff were also great and chatted as well as ensuring we had everything we needed. Food excellent and drinks great and were also responsibility priced. Handy car park for just £5 for 24 hours too.

Carolyn Thompson 3/5 Best mediocre and cheap. Very interesting approach to room service. You have to ask for your room to be serviced which we did on each of the four mornings of our day. On the first day nothing was done the second day the bed was made. Towels were replaced and the coffee cups were washed and replaced. On the third day we got clean towels and one of our two coffee cups was replaced roundabout, with the other one being left full of the ***** of our previous cup of tea! Clearly not been washed as we had tipped out a cup of tea into it and although we had swished it round with water, there were drops of coffee around it. Not cleaned. Bed not made. The shower gel had never been topped up all week and it was empty all week. But I reported all of this to the receptionist this morning, she said she would make a note of it and feed it back to whoever. She did however ask me why I haven’t reported that last night. It would’ve been somewhat ineffectual to do so as we were going to bed! I have to add that my travelling companions, for other couples, also experienced all of the above and in some cases had never had their bed made all week! I know it’s not difficult, but it is a hotel after all!
