Durban Spa

The property has good facilities and the location is great. However, there are people trying to sell timeshares which is unpleasant and makes the overall experience feel bad.

The place is very clean 100% very safe beach front. I would like to go again this year. Im very happy. If you need accommodation i will advise people to book Durban spa is the best. There's also restaurant down stairs if u need to rest you go to the Jaques

Durban Spa needs to up their standards! When we checked in, the tiles were dirty and there were pieces of hair and dust on the furniture and around the apar**ent. There were baby cockroachs in the kitchen and little insects found on the towels. The couches in the lounge were damp, and there were bugs on it because when I sat on it, I felt itchy. The one couch in the lounge was broken. The unit was very neglected. The microwave and stove were dirty. The bathroom has a shower curtain that's dirty as well. The only good thing about Durban spa is the views and the vibe around the area. The aircons did not work properly and it's very stuffy. I had stayed here previously and it was never this run down. Will not be returning. Very disappointing.

I had a terrible experience It was the first time I wanted to try out the resort, but I was not welcomed from the time I entered. I was not greeted, but was sent around to fill out forms, after standing in the queue to check in. I requested a room with availability at a high floor, but was told they cannot help me without even checking the system for availability. When I called to request a booking for the jacuzzi, I was told its booked out and I had to call at 7 in the morning. I was not offered a porter to assist with my luggage and had to take it myself. I was treated like this by a white lady, and I tolerated it. But when I came down reception by the evening after change of shift, there was an African lady, she was very accommodating, extremely helpful, she immediately offered me a room on the 13 floor which was available. She told me she'll let me know if there's any cancellation for the jacuzzi since I was only staying there for one night. She also gave me a booking for the first available time slot for the next day for the jaccuzi and allowed us to use the facility even after we checked out. She apologised for our bad experience, and definitely deserves some form of remuneration and acknowledgement.
