Omg amazing food and service! After recently moving into the area we heard the red lion Whittlesford was under new management so I thought we would give it a try. I am so glad we did the roast dinner is absolutely amazing. The portion size is great and the gravy is the best I’ve ever tasted. We have also eaten on weekdays from the daily menu And the food has been outstanding. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep and will definitely be returning again and again.

I had a lovely stay - the staff are fantastic. I ate a lovely dinner (didn’t try the breakfast, so can’t comment, but the friendly lady offered me a coffee to go when I handed back my key) & I slept really well. It’s clear that the room was a work in progress, and this was reflected in the very reasonable price I feel. Saying that the room was spotless & the bed super comfortable.

Wonderful place with amazing charecter and history... excellent staff. We ordered the tomahawk steak and it was incredible, perfectly cooked, delicious and fresh will be definitely going back... highly recommended, compliments to the chef and the team there 👌 ❤️

Went for dinner with family. Excellent meal. Rib eye Steak one of the best I’ve had in a while. All enjoyed the dinner. Good portion size. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Great place to eat if staying in nearby holiday inn. Charming old pub.

Went there for mother's day, brett was fantastic enthusiastic,staff were fantastic , food was out of this world, going back soon , again and again , the bar staff made sure they helped with the wine choice and the young polite man who served us was so lovely couldn't do enough so excellent place to go

A very pleasing experience in a very old pub/ hotel. Bret, Alex and Phil made this weekend away very enjoyable stay. Thank you Phil for the tasting of your bread and butter pudding in highlight of Mothers day. Ate both nights of our stay and the food was very good. Wishing the team all the very best in making this venue the place to go. Room very comfortable especially No19.

Wonderfully presented food, and tasted amazing. I had the salmon starter followed by sirloin with Diane sauce. My husband and son both had the homemade burgers which were also delicious. Friendly service, would definitely recommend a visit.

Under new management ,food was excellent and freshly prepped. Locally sourced produce and prepared in house. Chef had just baked a fresh ham an delivery of local sausages just arrived. Met a usiness associate for lunch as ideally located a few minutes off the M11 at Duxford and opposite the railway station.Staff really pleasant. Ideal halfway place to meet between London / Norwich , Kettering , Peterborough..

The food here is just disgusting and expensive . £20 for a steak and ale pie and veg, the pie I swear to god was a £1 pukka pie, the veg frozen and bland , and the mash was from potato granules and microwaved… avoid like the Black Death from the Victorian era!!!
