Really nice room, would definitely go back. Lovely friendly staff, breakfast was amazing. Everything was made easy for us, despite not having a traditional reception. Location is perfect for beach, theatre and town. Would definitely recommend for a family stay.

Another wonderful stay at the Mowbray. A seamless booking with clear details on check in and parking for 6 days made so easy by owner Roy who was on the end on the phone or e mail if you needed him. The room was so comfortable - spacious and with a fab power shower with nice hot water. The breakfast here is the best ever with such a huge choice and cooked to perfection- the 2 ladies ( which I did not get their names) looking after you at breakfast - made the stay even more enjoyable- they were friendly- kind and accommodating I will be back x

The location was great but that is the only good thing about The Mowbray. As soon as we entered the lobby there was a damp smell. No one to greet you or help with your bags etc. The bed was horrible, it was uncomfortable and the two mattresses that made up a double, constantly came apart with a sheet that didn’t fit properly. The duvet came out of the cover too. The room and bedding smelt of damp and the shower was dirty and mouldy. Glad we only stopped for the one night. We didn’t have breakfast, so can’t comment on that. If you find it difficult mobility wise, there are big steps up to the property and although there is a lift to the rooms, I’m not sure it went down to where the breakfast was being served and there were lots of steps down to it. I would not recommend The Mowbray and for the money I would have expected a lot more.

Perfect stay for a family weekend for the bonfire night. Really comfy bed and my toddler loved his little bed and his own lamp. Bathroom was small but very functional. The information book in the room was really informative and everything very clear in emails from the owner beforehand - parking permit easy to purchase and use. The coffee station was great with the pods and even some chocolates/sweets (again a big hit with the toddler!). Blackout blinds great for a nice lie in. The breakfast was amazing - great full English and loads of other continental bits offered too. Lovely friendly service. Great location with just a short walk into town or for a morning promenade. Really couldn’t fault it at all. Definitely be back!

Just average. Great location for everything we needed but reading another review re room 15 and I agree with them. No tv issues but toilet door doesn't shut properly, the shower is just a trickle. Poor electric shower, the rail holding shower head was loose. Did chuckle re the sign about keeping door closed when showering as steam sets alarm off.. er more steam off the kettle!! Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly and our friends in room 14 def had better facilities although the poppers on their duvet cover also didn't fasten so duvet falls out. Could do with a sprucing up, a bit tired in room 15 but the lounge area and entrance very smart. Great security but extra cards for guests would be ideal.

Very clean and spotless accomodation with obvious attention to detail. Bed very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space and tea and coffee facilities were excellent. Bathroom small but clean and tidy. Breakfast very good with first class service by friendly staff. Very impressed with security entry system both inside and out,and clear and concise fire safety instructions. My wife and i enjoyed our stay in such a pleasant small hotel so close to the theatres and sea front.

Ideally located for eating out and sea front strolls. Basic hotel , easy parking, good breakfast however the housekeeping in the rooms could be improved especially in the bathrooms, toilet brush disgraceful !! . Blinds also thick in dust and tv unwatchable as signal kept going.

Easy no fuss self check in, very clean room, comfy beds, fluffy towels, and great extras: shower gel, soap etc, coffee tea and yummy biscuits. Hairdryer and tv easily accessible in the room. Fabulous choice for breakfast, hot and cold and an assortment of drinks, cereals, fruit and pastries. Your staff were friendly and an asset to the hotel, a wonderful stay, see you next year.
