Eriyadu Island Resort was everything we hoped it would be. We had an overnight flight in and were met at the airport by the Eriyadu team who took us to our speed boat and we were on the water in less than 30 minutes, we did meet people who had to wait a couple of hours though. The speedboat took just under an hour across bright blue sea, we were given a bottle of water each on the boat for the journey. We arrived at the jetty to a friendly welcome from reception staff and porters. We were taken to reception for a cold drink and a cold towel. Check-in was super fast and hassle free, the porters took us to our room (221) and the bags arrived minutes later. The room had a huge bed plus a single bed that a child could have used, a wardrobe, drawers, a desk and a fridge plus a couple of comfy chairs. Outside had two wooden chairs a table on the deck and two wooden sunbeds with mattresses and hanging rack for wet kit to dry. We had direct access to the beach shared with 220 through privacy provided by palm trees. I would suggest that 211 - 225 all had similar and if I was returning I would request a room in that group. The air conditioned room was cleaned twice a day, which sounds excessive but with all the sand it was a good idea. Towels and bedding changed every other day. The bathroom is not airconditioned because the shower is open air. This was a great experience, showering with the sun on your back. We had the All Inclusive Platinum deal (there are three all inclusive levels so check this out before you book and choose the one that suits you). This included a mini bar of soft drinks and beer in the room. I asked for the beer to be changed from Carlsberg to Saigon on day one and that was done for the next 10 days. The Platinum deal included premium bottled beers (Peroni, Estrella, Corona and Saigon in cans), the basic all inclusive was just draft Carlsberg. The cocktails were also significantly better on the Platinum deal as were branded spirits and better wine. One day we had a bottle of sparkling wine delivered to out room too. The food was delicious. Some people complained that it was too spicy and they weren't used to that but we really enjoyed it. The restaurant got very hot though. Nobody dresses up for dinner and you certainly won't need any shoes, everybody was in flip flops or barefoot even in the restaurant. I especially enjoyed beetroot curry and the fish curries. We missed breakfast most days and had a late breakfast of coffee and croissants in the main bar, the coffee was much better in the bar. The Platinum deal had a range of fruit juices and smoothies included which we also had with breakfast. We met a vegan lady and the chef went out of his way to make sure he catered for her. We snorkeled on the house reef nearly every day. the snorkeling equipment was free for the duration of our stay from the dive centre. We saw an array of bright fish, sharks ranging from small black tipped reef sharks to so
