Plantation House Hotel

This is a really fabulous little hotel. I was surprised and delighted by the lovely room and the menu choices at dinner were excellent. A great breakfast, too. The staff are pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I was here on a business trip but will come back for pleasure soon.

What a great find! We booked this prior to a cross channel ferry to France. We arrived mid afternoon and had tea and fruit cake which was a lovely start. The room was just perfect luxurious comfortable and so spacious. We had lovely views across the countryside and everything you could possibly wish for. The shower was amazing, alos a nice dressing room alongside gave it that extra touch of luxury with gorgeous products included. The bed was like a cloud just perfect. We had dinner in the restaurant and the quality of the food presentation and cooking was outstanding pre dinner drinks we also lovely with the nice touch of olives and nuts to accompany. We had a wonderful nights sleep and woke to another great meal breakfast was again first class. My husband left our charging pad and after contacting the owner it was sent back to us for which I am very grateful. I can’t wait to go back to stay here but for a longer period next time. I highly recommend the Plantation House Hotel and Restaurant

I don't often write reviews but having just returned from Plantation House and read the recent reviews before we got here I was concerned that there wouldn't be any vegetarian option. How wrong could anyone be! The food here is amazing, everything is home made and cooked from scratch with the finest ingredients. We advised Richard and his team that I am vegetarian and it was no problem whatsoever, I can understand that maybe people expect a vegetarian option these days but for me? I would always check, after all if I went to a vegetarian restaurant I wouldn't expect to see steak on the menu if I was a meat eater and my partner a veggie....so it's best to let them know here and the result is vegetarian fine dining at its best! The rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff can't do enough for you to ensure a comfortable stay, cake on arrival is delicious and you just feel so welcome from the time you arrive to the time you leave. Breakfast dishes up the best of everything and the coffee is hot and strong and the cheese omelette is a must! Thank you Richard and your team for the most enjoyable 5 star stay, we will be back!
