La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fairfield TX

The building was a little old, needs some updates. there was an issue with our key card but the front desk got us set up in a new room!

Do NOT stay here, after driving 10 hours my family and I decided to stop and get a good nights sleep and let the kiddo play in the pool! Well let’s just list a few items that made this an absolute nightmare of a facility and La Quinta should be very concerned with…the indoor pool facility was a hazard for anyone entering, black mold throughout the entire area, windows open/screens broke with outdoor equipment laying all around, exposed wires in the wall and on the door, hot tub not working. Then we enter the room and it smells like a swamp, the 1st floor window is unsecured, locks have been broken off, anyone can access it from the outside! This is a complete and utter management failure!!! It was so bad we left and attempted to call management and they stated in order for us to get our money back we had to call Expedia…good luck with that!!! I have documented all the pictures and will be filing a complaint with the BBB!

It is kind of sad. The hotel needs some general housekeeping. Card readers on the outside of the building were not working or detaching. One security door was unlocked so anyone can enter. The pool room looked abandoned. Breakfast had some unidentified substance and ham slices. Not many choices and I was the only one there. Very little occupancy. The elevator area smelled of strong petroleum, either gasoline or hydraulic fluid. Room was clean and comfortable, quiet all night. No AC in the lobby, had fans circulating the warm air.

Great staff and very clean space. The bed was very comfortable and water pressure was Niagara Falls!

Pool was not heated, hot tub out of order and ******* says sleeps 5 but no sleeper sofa. Paid extra so kids would have pool and the staff was unapologetic.

Morning reception/breakfast staff seemed very put out by our presence, particularly when we made simple requests like asking for milk for the cereal.

I would recommend this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Looking out the window there was trash and area that could probably have the vegetation trimmed down and groomed.

We booked this hotel mostly for the accommodation of the pool and hot tub. Pool is inside but not heated so it was way to cold for my family to swim, and the hot tub was down for maintenance. The rooms were okay, the door knob broke in the bathroom, the tub had stuff coming off from the bottom of the tub, and there were stains all over the carpets. My family has stayed at over 50 la Quinta’s all over and this was one definitely didn’t reach the same expectations we have experienced before.
