It’s a massive compound. Especially if you book down by the marina then everything takes longer to get to. We had a Caesar salad at the restaurant at the marina that served as raw chicken. They never rectified that mishap nor wanted to or even cared to. Other than the roach coming out of the desk area that I was seated at eating, the first room we had was great. After that, we ended up moving twice because of the horrible stale odor in the next two rooms. I believe they need to check and clean out the hvac. Upon our upgrade to a deluxe, which was very lovely but had ac issues. Let’s just saw there was no need for a blanket. I forgot my bracelet in our initial first room, and I really hope that they find it but I am very doubtful they care to. I told them it was probably ina tight place next to the bed but I doubt they’ll have a look.

The rooms leave a lot to be desired. The room was plain and the low platform bed was uncomfortable. There was an old and pretty worn looking couch in the room in need of a good cleaning. I didn’t like the fact that we had to pay for parking, that should be an included amenity. We tried the Italian Restaurant and we were disappointed , my salmon was dry and my boyfriend’s pasta was chewy. We stayed in the resort for 3 nights and housekeeping never serviced our room or replaced our dirty towels. Definitely needs some improvements.

A mix up on our reservation had us waiting 20 minutes at the entrance gate before we were allowed onto the grounds. So our start was disappointing.
Overall the property was clean and enjoyable. I’d go back but would stay away from the Surf & Turf at the Ballyhoo Restaurant. It was overpriced and the NY ***** was tough. The Brisas Restaurant was better.
