The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :)
I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

Loved the calming splashing of water in so many places, all of the quiet rooms and gardens, and the lovely rooftop dining.

I returned to Fes this year largely so I could return to this hotel. A grand palace restored magnificently and filled with a mix of Moroccan antiques and contemporary pieces that blend perfectly. A labyrinth of stairs, corridors, sitting rooms, centered around the principal courtyard planted with lemon trees and alive with the sound of the fountain and chirping birds. I could stay there forever.

This is one of the nicest small hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Great rooms, lovely decor, and a team with the greatest — and genuine — commitment to making your stay perfect, warm and welcoming. I heartily recommend the restaurant and the hammam, and would be glad to return. (And I am a pretty tough judge!)

I recently stayed at this exceptional property. This gorgeous former home of the Minister of War from over a hundred years ago has been beautifully restored and decorated. They offer a delicious rooftop breakfast, helpful staff, and have an onsite Hammam.

I’ve been to Fes at least 6 times and only stay at Riad Laaroussa. The staff there is excellent and go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. This trip was no different - upon arrival to the Riad we checked in to the Gaetan room and were greeted by mint tea and a fire in the lovely sitting area just off of our room. Thank you for always making this feel like my home away from home.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful Riad. Our room, Blue Room, was spacious enough for three adults. The room was on the upper level with a nice view looking down the garden. Because the stairway is quite steep, people with bad knees may prefer modern hotels with elevators. The room was nicely decorated with traditional motifs. The bathroom was spacious with all the amenities. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was served in the rooftop cafe. We also had a dinner there. The homemade-style dishes were all very delicious. We experienced the on-premise hammam, which was fun. On our departure day, they served our breakfast at 7 am, well before the regular breakfast time of 8 am. I would definitely recommend this riad to anyone who is visiting Fes.

Riaad Laaroussa is a very beautiful hotel with luxurious rooms. Good location near a main street which makes it relatively easy to find in the maze that is the Medina. The greatest asset of the Laaroussa is their staff. They are all good, friendly and very honest people. Really felt very welcome amd well attended. Laaroussa also provides guides to tour around and the Medina and day trips. Had a very experience with guide Yassine. He will take you to the interesting places and show you the best craftsmanship cooperatives for high-end shopping.

The staff customer service was excellent!! They were always checking on us and making sure the fireplace was going! The Riad was beautiful with quaint rooms and perfect furnishings. Nice attention to details. There were many places to enjoy- the garden, rooftop, living spaces and don’t miss the spa!
