Very spacious room with incredible frescos on the ceiling. Really friendly helpful staff. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Good quality breakfast with a nice selection. Good location. Giuseppe and his mother made us feel very welcome Shower continually went from hot to cold, we mentioned this twice during our stay but it was not fixed

I really couldn't say enough great things about this place. It's beautiful, close to historic area but most of all the hosts were wonderful! So kind, so helpful and loving. Though it is a hotel it felt like Home.

Very nice rooms and excellent service. All the staff there are very friendly and want to make sure you are comfortable. You feel at home away from home.

This was the worst “hotel” I have ever stayed at. I wouldn’t even consider it a hotel. They refused to turn on their air conditioning even though my room was hot and it was 80 degrees outside. The room was filled with mosquitos that bit me all night. The beds were as hard as the floor. And the woman Rita that works as the concierge/front desk was incredibly rude. At one point she yelled at me because I took a small piece of toast to my room and a packet of honey because I had food poisoning and she did not allow me to take something as small as a packet of honey to my room. She also taunted me. The breakfast was tiny and they refused to bring more food for the guests when it ran out. All the guests were confused as to why they wouldn’t replenish the breakfast table for everyone to eat. Save your hard earned money and please don’t ruin your trip by staying here.

Lovely Hotel in a great location. Approx 20-25 mins walk to the train station. 10-15 mins to lots of restaurants etc. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a superior double. Very large room. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful ceilings throughout. Lovely simple breakfast included. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Florence.

We just had a lovely two night stay at the Hotel Capitale. The hosts, Rita and Giuseppe, are warm and inviting, making you feel instantly at home. Our room was massive, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The A/C worked perfectly, the bed was firm and comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. We booked a different hotel for the second half of our stay in Florence and we are so sad we did :/ This will be our go-to-spot in Florence from here on in. Thank you Rita and Giuseppe! A beautiful hotel near the city center ideal to visit the city from. The host and hostess where such friendly people and always there to help. Everything was very clean and the rooms are so pretty with paintings on every ceiling. A really recommendation to every who wants to visit Florence.

This is an ADORABLE, well managed and very clean boutique hotel… Huge rooms with original frescos on the ceiling (which are calming to look at before you go to sleep or take a nap)… The bathroom is FABULOUS, full size shower, great water pressure, quality towels and complimentary toiletries… Breakfast is very Italian style, with a variety of breads/croissants, hard boiled eggs, deli meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, fruit, juice and of course coffee!! The dining room is very pleasant and you can choose to be quietly together or socialize with other guests… or bring back to your room… Note: you can use the original elevator (which functions as though it were brand new) or use the stairs… the hotel is on the second floor… we liked the elevator for going up and also for our luggage… it is quirky and fun… The location is terrific and NOT in the crowded tourist sections… it is walking distance to the city center, which is lovely, busy and full of people, so the hotel is the perfect place to come back and relax! We really enjoyed our stay here and were well taken care of by the owners (family owned and managed) and provided with a map and suggestions of where to eat or visit if we asked… very knowledgeable! If you are coming by train, would suggest that you take a cab (about a mile or so) due to luggage, or a local city bus… if coming by air, probably the same, but not sure of the distance… You’ll enjoy your stay here!!!
