My parents recently stayed at Tornabouni Place, Florence from August 22nd, 2023. Unfortunately, their experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment they entered the property at 3 pm, it was evident that their stay would be far from pleasant. The air conditioning system failed to bring the temperature below 25 degrees Celsius, despite our repeated reminders and the manager's attempts to fix it. The oppressive heat within the hotel became unbearable, and as a result, my parents fell ill. They were left feeling helpless as the property manager's efforts to rectify the situation proved futile. To make matters worse, after 6:30 pm, the manager completely stopped responding to our calls and messages. It was appalling to witness their complete disregard for their guests' well-being, seemingly indifferent to the fact that my parents were suffering due to their negligence. It is deeply disheartening that the manager failed to exhibit even a modicum of concern on humanitarian grounds. It appeared that their sole focus was on financial gain, as they had already received payment for the next three nights of our stay during check-in. As the evening wore on and my parents received no assistance or support, we were left with no choice but to make an impromptu reservation at a nearby property. We were fortunate to find refuge at Hotel Cerretani Firenze, where the staff took great care of my parents and ensured their comfort and well-being. It was a stark contrast to the callous treatment we experienced at Tornabouni Place. To substantiate our claims, we have documented the abysmal condition of the air conditioning unit with photographs. These images clearly demonstrate the ineffectiveness of the system and the discomfort it caused. Despite this compelling evidence, Tornabouni Place has refused to acknowledge their responsibility and provide a refund for our booking. The lack of professionalism and accountability displayed by Tornabouni Place is deeply disappointing. It is unacceptable for a hospitality establishment to neglect the basic needs and safety of its guests. I strongly advise against staying at Tornabouni Place, Florence, as it is evident that they prioritize monetary gains over guest satisfaction and well-being. We have been left deeply dissatisfied and disheartened by our experience at Tornabouni Place. It is my hope that this review serves as a warning to potential guests and prompts the management to reflect upon their actions and make amends for their egregious behavior.
