Beach Club Font de Sa Cala

Excellent. A really friendly hotel, lovely helpful staff. Food good, rooms nice. Very clean, very comfortable. A good hotel if you’re sporty, lots going on. A nice location for getting around Cala Ratjada is only a walk away and it’s beautiful, a costal path very pretty. There is a superb market there on a Saturday , selling some lovely Majorcan crafts . There weren’t any toiletries provided by the Hotel, just a soap dispenser. English TV is a bit limited Quite chilly in the evenings, but then it is only April. All in all I would highly recommend this Hotel.

This was our first all-inclusive package holiday experience and we had a wonderful time. The team who run the mini club are brilliant (big love to Marta!) and our 5 year old absolutely loved it. The facilities are really nice and all the staff are so friendly. It is a very sporty resort with lots of visiting clubs and teams; but they were all very polite and I was able to relax by the pool with hardly any sun lounger competition! Whilst my husband had a great time doing some of the coastal walks and swimming in the proper pool with lanes. The beach over the road is beautiful but you don’t need to leave the hotel complex to have a wonderful holiday there. We’ll absolutely go back again next year.

Very disappointing first stay at Beach Club Font De SA Cala. We visited for a week from 23/3/24 - 30/3/24 as a family of 6, which included 2 children aged 9 and 7. Negatives: • this hotel is NOT a place for families to have a relaxing holiday - the hotel is overrun with HUGE sports groups, swimming/tennis/ football - all of which seemed to think they were more important than any other guests there, so therefore took precedence over 'normal' people on holiday - the hotel should be advertised as such, it isn't! • staff seemed to favour other nationalities, particularly German speaking, bar staff, restaurant staff - German nationalities were served first - all the children's entertainment was spoken in German, which my 9 and 7 year old didn't understand a word of but joined in to the best of their abilities. • Children from other visitors (the huge sports groups!) were left to run riot day and night - unsupervised in the pool, within the hotel, during breakfast, lunch and dinner, around the bar area at night, ruining and disrupting the kids disco. No manners or awareness of other visitors trying to enjoy their holiday. • There was a big groups of kids from Juventus Brazil football training team, supposedly being watched by adults - rude as anything, pushed Infront of guest in the queues for food, pushed around you when walking up and down the stairs, bashed into our kids, loud and shouting during lunch (was that loud and unruly it felt like we were sat in a school lunch hall) • Was very disappointing to see that no staff from the hotel challenged any of this behaviour from these big groups of adults and children - even though it was evident other guests were disgruntled and feeling this was impacting their enjoyment on their holiday - the huge groups, the groups of kids for sports ruins the relaxing ambiance the hotel are advertising and what most people probably go and stay for. Positives: • Pizzaria around the pool, staff were friendly enough, food served was tasty. • Room was comfortable enough, we had an issue and it was sorted straight away. • The beach across the road was stunningly beautiful - although on the last day they had set up 4/5 massive beach volleyball courts so space was extremely limited. • A road train runs from Font De SA Cala to all the little places - 7 euros for adults and 2 for children - definitely worth it, although a lite bumpy, great for sight seeing and we got off and wandered around and got back on later in the day. • my partner and I did the rifle shooting at the hotel, was very enjoyable and the ladies from the entertainment team who did it with us were very good. • The beer ✓ I will not be returning to this hotel, unfortunately for us it was not anything like it was described on the TUI website. What made our holiday was the family we went with and the experiences we made for ourselves. Unfortunately it was tainted by the groups staying at the hotel and the lack of control over these groups by the hotel

Just arrived back from a week’s stay here. We booked a Junior Suite and it was ideal for 2 adults plus one child. The room was large and cleaned daily. We used the two main pools, but mainly the quieter one by the tex max restaurant. Yes, people do reserve beds, but there were plenty available. Food at the buffet was good, plenty of variety as was the food in the tex mex and pizza restaurants. Although I didn’t see a gala night, maybe a Mexican night but it wasn’t clearly advertised as such! Daily entertainment for all (your choice if you want to get involved or not) and evening shows a couple of which were very good! The grounds were immaculate and there were always people busily tending to the grounds. All of the staff were polite and friendly, even when really busy at the bar in the evening. My only criticism was some of the guttering round pool and tex mex needs repairing as this could be dangerous. All in all, we had a lovely stay and would happily come back again!

Giving this hotel a 3 out of 5 overall it was average based on the following reasons. I’ve been coming to sa font de sa Cala for years, know the hotel well and have stayed 3 times in the last 6 years. We hire a car go half board and use the hotel as a base rather than a resort we don’t leave all week . I couldn’t spend a full week in just this hotel whereas in other more premium hotels like IKOS or Dubai hotels I could. Service: Service was fine when we needed something we could go to reception and ask ourselves but there was no feeling of staff friendliness in the resort or engagement with guests (aside from poolside entertainment or kids club which I’ll come into later). On checkout, neither my husband or I got a “thanks for staying with us”/“how has your stay been” etc. Room: Was fine comfortable basic. Have to pay for safe. Room cleaned daily although balcony not swept consistently and got messy with pine tree debris. Also the hotel needs to look at the row of rooms in the two floor above the pizza restaurant as the trees overshadowed the balconies meaning nothing dried! Pool: 3 pool areas. The pool by pizza restaurant & entrance is noisy! Lots of games entertainment going on. We hardly went there tbh as it wasn’t our thing. Kids slides and pool, my 8yo liked it but loved it more when he was younger. Ideal for kids up to 6 I would say. Our son previously at 4yo spent so much more time there. Would recommend if you have younger kids. The pool by the tex mex; we used this a lot. Again fine not amazing. Gets quite busy. Sunbeds have to be reserved by 8/830 or you’re not getting one! Lifeguard present for parts not all of the day which I think is a risk on hotel part. Towels; you pay a 10€ deposit for each towel, can change them for clean ones twice in a week & get deposit back end of week when handing towel in. We did this but I think this is poor vs other hotels especially ones that say they are a 4 star! Food: we did breakfast n dinner. All fine we found something to eat but some repetition and a very average buffet. Wouldn’t return on half board basis. Entertainment: we tended to head out & do our own thing in the evening but they do a kids disco, a show & a later disco. Was fine. Very average but Saw lots of people watching. Beach/ local amenities: Sa font de sa Cala beach is beautiful & one of the nicest imo! It’s a 30 second walk from the hotel. Highly recommend. There are a few shops on the local ***** where you can get basics a mini-mart. But again if you don’t have a car you are limited . Can get the bus into Cala Rajada. A rental car is £2-300 minimum but gives you so much more freedom. Overall we won’t return here there are nicer hotels to stay at but as I say we had an enjoyable week but did treat it as a base vs a resort !

This hotel is marked 4 starts and TUI gave 4,5 starts but truly its 3 stars max then on some areas is even worse like nobody cleans the area around pool and pool cleaning is bad too. The rooms are small even for damily of 4 with 4 beds and no place for luggage. The currain in bath is cheap plastic not a 4 star hotel maybe 2. The arrival after 9 pm CET means no food like it is not in Spain!!! Drinks are paid after 11 pm like no info on brochures etc for all inclusive but a stickers on the wall of the bar. Good things is food bit rather boring after a week and entertainment hosted by Dan from Italy and his team!

Fabulous resort, totally enjoyable if you love tennis. Staff were terrific, and always assisting when required. My second stay at Font de Sa Cala from Australia. A few minor repairs required in rooms. The Buffet food, was delicious and always plenty to choose from. Highly recommend.

Stayed October 6 to 22, 2023 to play in the ITF World Team and Individual Championships. We enjoyed the facilities ... 11 red clay tennis courts, 2 large pools and fitness area. Food was very good and the staff provided excellent service.

We were there for the world tennis tournaments. The main problem was the cleanliness of the hotel, especially the dining areas - almost everyone there was stricken by COVID, gastroenteritis or cold/flu. That is the problem for the people in charge of the meal preparation and ensuring the staff maintain high standards of cleanliness - we observed that wasn’t always the case.
