Premier Inn Frome

Bed comfy, pillows ok. Linen obviously clean but a little ‘stale’ smelling. Only one hand towel for two guests. Air con not working, management had provided a fan and windows were cracked open to try and keep temperature down. Premier Inns need to get this fixed! This hotel is on an industrial estate and having windows open means noise from the surroundings. The associated Beefeater restaurant was welcoming and staff attentive so 4or 5 stars for them.

Given a noisy room near reception so heard everyone traipsing past, despite having a 3-year old with us.

Lovely greeting from the night staff as we arrived so close to midnight. Nice big family room, comfy beds and hot shower, it was very clean thank you Daisy and Ellie after a long drive from Norwich it was just what we needed to start our holiday thank you x

Great room, nice and clean, comy bed and white towels. Biggest let down is the size of the TV, I'm visually impaired, it's like a ruddy postage stamp. I wish they'd make this clear on their booking forms. Forgot to make a note of this last time we stayed here but won't repeat it a third time!

Overall, the room was great. However, it was very warm (never went below 22.5 degrees!. There was a floor fan but it was just blowing the warm air around the room. Also, the bedroom was perfectly clean but the bathroom had some mildew and mould build up around the taps, bath and sink. It was obvious that the bathroom was quite old and not much care had been taken to keep it clean.

Room was standard PI, no concerns regarding cleanliness. The outside of the hotel is not inviting though and does need a lick of paint! Twin room, mattresses were not comfortable, I didn’t check but they certainly didn’t feel like memory foam, more like tired spring! Disappointed that no USB point to charge my phone. No major concerns. I’m not finding the breakfasts particularly appetising these days, all a bit dried out!

So no chance for a shower. Barely enough to clean teeth. Shocking. Didn't like to take it out on the receptionist, who had promised us on checking in that it was in the process of being fixed. Sadly, by morning it wasn't. Any chance of a refund as it wasn't even worth the paltry sum we paid.

We have stayed at this hotel and beefeater restaurant over a number of years as we visit family members who live in Frome, however our last stay this Tuesday and overnight till Wednesday was not the best, the hotel is beginning to show it’s age and the whole place looks and is tired worn out and in need of a makeover, just look at the outside, signage faded, guttering overgrown with vegetation, paint peeling, all in all shabby. Then there’s the Beefeater restaurant, first impressions are it’s filthy, I’ll issue a challenge when you walk in try and find a fabric covered dining chair that is not stained, has food staines or is downright filthy, the tables are worn to an extent where the varnish is sporadic and ingrained. Then there’s the food and prices, not reasonable any more, in fact not value for money. In conclusion we booked for breakfast, which in all honesty WAS good value, however I slightly moved our free standing table and underneath the table leg was a years worth of food waste and crumbs, obviously the table had not been moved and cleaned under for ages, All in all not the best Beefeater we’ve eaten at.

Great accessible room, plenty of space for wheelchair. Helpful staff, nice pub next door for food. Quite a long way from reception to room but no obstacles on the way. Main entrance doors are automatic so easy access. Thanks to Ellie for clean room
