La Palma Princess

Lots of positives, would recommend to people. Lots of variation in meals and food obviously not fine dining but really good for all inclusive different themes every night. Snack bar by the pool which was nice for lunch. Self service for a lot of drinks, cocktail machine. Staff were really lovely and really good with children. There is not anything around the area, and the drive is very steep just to mindful off if you are scared of heights. Negatives - rooms a little dated air-con is not super strong. Pool area could be a bit cleaner. Not all drinks are included in all inclusive only a couple of cocktails.

The hotel has high standard of cleanliness, large spacious rooms (albeit slightly dated) the pools are fabulous and kept clean with plenty of sun beds available. The food is of a high standard best all inclusive we’ve experienced - drinks hot/cold are easily available with wine/beer and quality Schweppes fizzy drinks available on tap. As per other reviews bottled water is not available but guests can fill their own drinkers easily with either sparkling or still water. The downside of the complex is the poor standard of air conditioning in the bedrooms!! Due to the poor air-con we had to move rooms twice during our stay, air con in our initial room simply didn’t work, the air-con system seems antiquated and does not chill the rooms efficiently. The air con leaked onto the floor in our second room required numerous calls to reception who sent maintenance, they cleared away the flooding but did not rectify/repair the issue our only option was to pack up and move for 2nd time. The Spa was lovely, worth the €15 but don’t select the 6-7pm slot as staff ask you to leave at 6.45pm to close up. The Spa staff were the least helpful of any staff we encountered during our stay they made no effort to guide us through the facilities, we weren’t even told where the changing area is, very apathetic in that area which perhaps needs tackling and addressing by management as the Spa staff let the team down

We have just returned from a weeks stay at La Palma Princess. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, found it extremely relaxing and enjoyed using all the facilities the hotel has to offer. The hotel is well maintained in all areas - rooms, restaurants and pools were all spotlessly clean. The grounds of the hotel and surrounding location are really pretty - the hotel is covered with beautiful flowers and plants, and then outside the hotel you are surrounded by thousands of banana trees. The hotel is spread over a large area, meaning no overcrowding round the pool, you could even have a pool to yourself in some areas. We found the food to be excellent, both in the main restaurant and snack restaurant. There was always plenty of vegetarian or meat options, and the children always found enough choice as well. If you want to explore outside of the hotel, there is a nice little beach and cafe about 20 mins walk away, just turn left out of the hotel and keep walking straight , through the bananas. Definitely worth a little visit. Overall we had a wonderful stay, we all wanted to stay another week! We would definitely like to come back one day.

I have recently returned from a family holiday at the La Palma Princess and would highly recommend it. This was my second visit to this hotel and i will likely return again. The hotel is spotless and the grounds are beautiful. There a several pools and plenty of sun beds. My favourite part of the trip was breakfast each day down by the sea front. I also enjoyed the wine very much! It is quite hilly which was fine for us but something to be aware of if you have trouble walking. Would definitely recommend!

We recently returned from our holiday and wow it was amazing in every way, couldn’t fault anything. The resort is beautiful and clean, the hotel room huge, I was with my two daughters so 3 of us one room. The food brilliant with so much choice, it was delicious. The staff so friendly and fun! We joined in with all of the daily activities which we loved. My 9 year old went in the kids club which was great! Pool party, cupcake making and lots of games etc. I used the gym which is with all up to date equipment and supplies towels. Big choice of pools and tons of sun beds and pool towels in rooms. I had a massage which was wonderful, the spa is just amazing! In the eves there was a variety of entertainment we enjoyed every evening. Also playing bingo, and dancing to the songs they play and mini disco is great. Overall an amazing resort and would recommend to anyone. I loved the mojito and Mexican party 🎉 so much to do! The sunsets are just spectacular from this hotel 😍

I am currently still here, my last day of a week long stay with my partner and 12 year old daughter. The rooms are spotlessly clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Beds, I found, are very comfortable. The grounds are vast beautiful and VERY steep to get around, so if you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. There are currently only 150 people staying at the hotel, so it's very quiet, peaceful and relaxing, which is exactly what myself and partner wanted, my 12 year old daughter maybe not so much! Food has been fine, typical all-inclusive food, there is something for everyone. Pool bar snacks are great, hot dogsburgers pizza chips wedges and salads. Ice creams and slushies. This complex is massive so bring your hiking boots if you want to explore!

This was our third time staying at the Princess and once again we've had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, perfect for a relaxing break. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of choice in the restaurant, even for my wife, who is vegetarian. The all inclusive range of drinks was fine. The staff are very friendly and were always happy to help with anything. We want to say a big thankyou to the animation team - Irene, Francesca, Thomas, Maria and Hannah for entertaining us. They did a fantastic job hosting the daytime activities, most of which we joined in. There was a variety of evening entertainment and also activities to participate in, if you wanted to. The spa facilities are great with a good choice of treatments. We have been on Tui trips before from the hotel, so this time opted to get the bus which stops right outside the hotel. We have also used local taxi's to explore this beautiful island. We look forward to returning!

As you arrive at the airport and board the coach to take you to the hotel, on the way you will see a beautiful scenery. You will be surrounded by nature, everywhere you look. I obviously did not look on Google Maps to find anything about La Palma, but I am glad took the trip. The hotel is surrounded by banana plantations, like literally, they are everywhere, for miles. One important thing to mention about the trip, if you have any motion sickness or car sickness, BE WARNED: there are a loooooot of curbs, and I mean like every second of the trip all the way to the hotel, be warned it will make you sick. So bring some medicine for that. The whole island is very quiet, and it is due to the international observatories at the top of the highest point on the island. If you are looking for visiting, all you can visit around the hotel are three beaches, two are fairly close, I would say about 20 minutes' walk, another one is about 40 minutes' walk in the opposite direction of the first 2. They are pretty deserted, so it will be you and the nature. Other than that, it is only the resort itself. The hotel offers entertainment every night, I’ve participated for two nights, and they were not disappointing at all. The rooms are big, bathroom facilities are also nice. They’ve got a mini fridge, they’ve got TV. Just make sure you read all the leaflets in the room as the hotel has a sustainability policy put in place (if you want the bed to be changed, the towels, etc.). Food and drinks. The drinks selection for the all inclusive I would say it’s limited in terms of alcoholic drinks, but that is probably because they don’t have a massive selection themselves on the menu. The drinks are pretty average, but they are loaded with alcohol (this is coming from an occasional consumer). Otherwise, they have two mocktails, and a small selection of soft drinks, available at all times, about everywhere you go. The food is the most important part for me and I could say I am slightly disappointed about the limited selection of the Canary cuisine. I would have loved to see more of the local food rather than what it was. The menu was pretty standard. Paella was on display every day, three variations (one each day). Plain rice (or sometimes with peas and corn) was also standard. There was always grilled chicken, pork and fish (I’ve seen about 4 types of fish at least, each day different and it was pretty nice). They had three days out of the week when we’ve been ‘enchanted’ with special dinners. We had Arabian night, Asian night and Spanish night. The Arabian night was disappointing in terms of the coordination of the food. I guess it was because it was bland mostly. The Asian night was awful. Nothing like any sort of Asian food. Dear management, if you don’t have the right condiments, please do not try again. The Spanish night, on the other hand, it was most pleasing, hence I wish more local and country wide cuisine would have been an option. Otherwise, there was a v

Arranged the holiday with TUI and stayed for 7 days. The place was absolutely amazing. La Palma as an island, the environment, the forests, mountains, volcanoes, rocky coasts are awe-inspiring and well worth exploring. The hotel itself was wonderful. Because of the setting with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic from Poolside, palm trees dotted around and the sun beaming down from mid-day onwards, the whole place looked incredibly tropical. There were 7 pools, which let you pick if you wanted to stay nearer the rowdy end, a quieter setting or a mix of both. The ocean bar was great, with friendly staff who always helped and were generous with drinks. There is a shop poolside with random bits to buy as well as snacks, pool inflatables and sun cream etc. Wish it was open a bit more consistently but otherwise was good. Snack bar poolside was very good. Burgers, hot dogs, wedges, salads, drinks pretty much all day. The food in the main restaurant was lovely as well. Each night being themed but there also being traditional Spanish food and staples like Pizza, fries, nuggets for the picky eaters. The room was big, spacious and absolutely did the job. I'd be aware that for those who may have issues with mobility that there may be stairs you need to climb up/down or slopes which may be steep-ish but the staff are more than accommodating and will help with golf buggies. We had one issue with the shower drain being blocked, which when reported, was fixed in about 10 minutes. Staff at reception as well as the engineer was brilliant. The hotel also had a fitness centre and tennis courts. Didn't try the tennis myself but went to the gym a few times and it was brilliant. Top end Technogym machines and equipment making sure you had a good workout. We also went on a tour of the island with Tui which was something really special. We went to the highest peak on the island, saw the wrath of the now inactive volcano that erupted in late 2021 and learnt a lot about the island itself, it's geography, animals, history etc. Well worth the trip. All in all our stay was brilliant. Nothing I'd complain about. If you want a relaxing, feet up holiday, it absolutely does the job. If you're looking to hike, mountain bike and do other mad stuff, the tourist board on the island are more than accommodating. Just ask and you will get all the information you need. I would absolutely recommend La Palma Princess for anyone looking for a getaway.
