Grand Hotel Michelacci

Si tratta di due hotel collegati, ma con una sola reception. L’hotel principale è 4 stelle mentre l’altro (dove abbiamo pernottato) nemmeno 2. Pezzi di intonaco che si staccano, tende a penzoloni ma sopratutto lenzuola macchiate e polvere sotto e sopra il letto. Per concludere una colazione molto deludente, brioche vecchie, bicchieri di plastica e pochissima scelta food e beverage che non rispecchia per nulla un hotel 4 stelle. Ribadisco che da fuori è davvero molto bello, peccato che all’interno sia lasciato andare. Quindi non consiglio la struttura.

This hotel should be called the Imperiale Napoleanic Hotel. It has grandiose ambitions towards 4 stars whilst delivering a very disappointing experience to its guests. Despite the presence of antique items in the reception area, the reality is far less grand, much more in keeping with the uncomfortable plastic thrones on the terrace. Firstly..the room. Shabby, uncomfortable mattress and flat pillows, smelly bathroom with no working extraction system, no complimentary toiletries other than a tiny bar of soap and a shower cap. The fridge is off and empty, no tea & coffee and no drinking glasses. Now to the restaurant..oh dear !!. The decor is totally over the top, overlit to the point of being blinding, and horror of horrors, each table is decorated with a piece of coral in a bowl. Breakfast is supposed to be a buffet. It is not. A table separates the guests from the food trays and one must queue to point to the waiter to indicate what you would like him to place on your plate. My husband was shouted at on the first morning for wrongly picking up a large plate. He angered the waiter again when on another morning, being in a rush and finding no waiters in the restaurant he started to serve himself. What a nerve !!!! I only attended breakfast once. Far too stressful and the offerings are meagre. eg: the only fruits available were prunes and plums which the server handed to you in the tiniest of bowls. The management is not concerned with environmental issues, as the water and watered down juices are served in plastic cups. Why not a glass? The first course at dinner was also supposed to be a buffet. Again, one had to stand back and point to unidentified dishes and be served by the waiter. The next two pre- ordered courses were mostly inedible, followed by a no choice dessert. The staff in the hotel were not particularly friendly or helpful. I hated the a**osphere in the restaurant and if only other places were open nearby, would have eaten out. One evening we met some interesting fellow guests and were finishing off our drinks in the lounge area. At around 11.15 pm a member of management, who I nicknamed Lurkio, passed by a couple of times with a glowering expression and proceeded to turn lights off. There is NO way, in any stretch of the imagination, that this hotel deserves those 4 stars and should be re-assessed, in fairness to other hotels like the nearby Sans Souci which thoroughly deserves them. Don't even think about staying in this one. The only good thing about it is the proximity to the beach and there are plenty of hotels that benefit from that.

One star for the staff at the restaurant who smiled and helped even though they were so busy cleaning constantly, so they worked hard. However, the hotel itself is VERY dirty and OLD, 2 stars at most!! Not 4!! The cleaning is simply not done, the floors are constantly dirty even after the cleaning lady came in. The bathrooms smelled awful and rust everywhere, we asked the receptionist to come fix the draining who left a bad sewage like smell and they simply pouered water but the smell returned. Because of the stink we could not sleep one night, we spent the night on the balcony and were exhausted next day. I understand October is end of season so the hotel pool was closed but to charge for a beach chair and not even provide a small water bottle in the room is ridiculous! 4 stars?? No way! The staircase was dirty and smelly, the lift dirty, the doors and walls old, basically looked like there was no renovation done in 20 years ! Just awful and stressful since we traveled with 2 small kids and there is NOTHING for kids to do in the hotel. Do not recommend this for families!! Not worth the money!

Service was shocking The room was cold. Very unfriendly staff I would say 3 star if you were lucky, but they claim to be 4 star. Parking is a big problem there is a no drive zone in the area during certain times of the day which is very unclear. Gabicce Mare itself is very cute.

Good Hotel, very nice owners. Cooking Top, but much expensive and bed and mattresses to soft. I would glady go back. Room Big and confortabile except for the bed. Position on the street of Corniolo, very easy ti reach by car. 15 minuti to Campigna and 30 minutes to Montefalco.

Great hotel! Exceptional service! Especially the Egyptian Rose at the front desk made my day. Made us feel really welcome into a warm and friendly a**osphere. I do hope I will have a chancevto come back here!

A nice hotel well placed close to the beach, friendly staff and a nice dinner like you want it. But a hotel will never be better than the people meeting you. In that respect the hotel has found a jewel in Rose in the reception. Her care for us as visitor was a new experience, not to be compared to anyone. You felt she wanted the best for you and your stay, and she engaged in the matters of importance for you. We will recommend this hotel to friends in Europe. And a good advice to the management, be sure you take good care of an employee like Rose, they are not easy to be found. You are born with this kind of love for customers and the way you make them friends. Enjoy a good stay - we know Rose and her colleagues will make you feel at home in good surroundings.

Abbiamo passato in bel weekend in questo hotel, ci siamo trovati veramente bene, il tutto condito dalla simpatia del personale, la camera era magnifica con vista mare, la pulizia la definirei quasi ******ale, spiaggia a pochi metri.....

per lavoro mi sono recato in questo hotel, mi sono trovato molto bene, la camera era molto carina, bagno ampio, bene accessoriata in tutto. La sala riunioni ben strutturata, personale gentile e disponibile, i prezzi sono in line per i servizi offerti
