Premier Inn Skipton North (Gargrave)

Stayed here for 3 nights last week (29 Apr - 02 May) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly, the room was clean and tidy, the location was ideal for our needs. Have 'The Anchor' inn next door which is ideal. The room had a great view over to the canal which was great.

The rooms were clean and nice just what you expect from the chain. The staff were great nothing was too much trouble for any of them, however, one member of staff stood out a real star and that was Tania, always had a smile and was interested in how the guest day had gone.

The room was dirty and smelt of the mould living on the walls and window frame. Walked into the room, and it smelt musty. As we unpacked, found toilet, and bath dirty. The bathroom bin was extremely dirty. Then, I could feel my nose starting to block up (allergy to mould). Found mould on the wall and window. The chair in the room was full of skin.. extremely disgusting and unhealthy. Bed felt damp. The team showed us another room but stunk of bleach and sick. We could not stay as it's just an extremely unhealthy place. We lasted less than an hour. We had to find somewhere else asap, and it cost us so much more, but we had no choice. I've stayed in a few premier inns, i also travel fof work and this hotel is the one of the worst I've seen or smelt. The rooms are not heated unless someone is in the room, so they turn into a little damp cold room, allowing spores to grow. See photos... avoid avoid avoid.... this premier inn has made me rethink my first choice in hotels. We're now waiting for Premier Inn to refund, which is going to take a month or so. Extremely unhappy to say the least. Hopefully, Premier Inn will see this and read the teams report. This hotel is in such a poor state, and the mould is a health hazard. The glue on the lampshades is falling apart possibly due to moisture. The team did their best and were so apologetic. Their report should support the above.

We wanted to relax in lovely surroundings with peace and quiet and this hotel ticks many boxes 📦. We've always found it to be a good experience and just away from the hustle and bustle. I always know that what you see on the website is exactly what you get 💯 No hidden surprises and staff are always helpful with any issues you may have.

The hotel needs money spending on it. The floor covering in the bathroom was ripped, the window woodwork was green and the paint was peeling off. The gents toilets in the next door Cookhouse and pub were a disgrace. The whole lot was tired. The room wasn't as I had booked, despite at Check In them being asked if it was a twin room. When we got to the room it was a sofa bed and double bed. The sofa bed didn't have a topper on, and the springs felt like they were poking through. Assuming this was their twin room we didn't say anything but suggested on checking out they may like to put a topper on, we were told they did have twin rooms and we should have said something. What's the point of booking it, if you then have to check, when you check in, walk up to the room, then go back down and tell them that the room they say you have, isn't so!

What a lovely place to stay and warm welcome by Anya and Tania who are a credit to the company Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our designated room had a fault with the air conditioning so they quickly allocated us another room with no fuss they asked us if we had any special requirements for the new room and made the change smoothly and efficiently, they made our stay extra special. Well Done Girls!!!

The most uncomfortable sleep ever window won’t open and AC rubbish WiFi none Existent truly awful stay … we requested an accessible room on the ground floor we Were allocated room on ground floor but quite a walk for my husband? …. food at the adjoining restaurant looked shabby dirty tables so we chose not to eat there

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. It was let down by the food. We are still awaiting the refund for the continental breakfast.

We stayed one night in Gargrave a few miles outside Skipton in picturesque location near pretty canal walk. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Ample car parking and a great breskfast - cooked to order which we prefer to help yourself cooked breakfast. Continental selection was great too, with ample selection and especially fresh pastries. Only down side for us was the smaller than usual room size- adequate but not what we expected after staying in other Premier Inns with more spacious rooms... also windows were non opening so needed air conditioning on to keep room cool... which was quite noisy.
