Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham George

Great stay! Clean and comfy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided was a nice bonus.

It's nice but if you can help it do not stay on the first floor. The bar is down there and the tipsy customers are loud when going in and out but other than that it was nice.

Place is clean, quiet, able to check in early. The bar/restaurant is nice and has NFL on Amazon Prime for the Thursday games.

Property is kinda new, so it was really nice. The room we were in, the bathroom fan not working. Free breakfast is a plus but don't eat late or else they will run out and won't replenish it (~845am, or later).

I got to Microtel early and called the hotel if I can check in...the friendly staff Kaylee took the call and she checked and confirmed that I can check in early! Kaylee checked me in efficiently and quickly. The hotel is clean, bright, and inviting. My room is super clean and so is the bathroom. The only negative thing is the hair dryer... it did not work when I tried to use it.

This hotel was convenient if you are attending a show at the Gorge. It was only about 12 minutes away. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a shuttle available since most of the guests were all going to the Gorge. The free breakfast was nice but mediocre at best. The price for the hotel was ridiculous but they can get away with it when they are the only hotel option close to the Gorge.

Our room didn’t have a closet or any hangers and there’s no counter space at all in the bathroom! It was nice to have a full bar on the premises and I get you pay for the convenience of being close to the Gorge Ampitheatre , but it’s way over priced for what it is!

We found the staff and facilities terrific. The bar was particulary fun and the food was a treat.

After checking in we went to our room. The room smelt like throw up. I asked to change rooms. The front desk person wasn’t happy that we asked for another room. He had to go to the room and verify that it did indeed smell. He can back and gave us the room right next door. It did smell better, however is was dirty. Being late we just ****** it up and got through the night. We woke up early took showers and the bath tub filled up with dirty water. When the water drained it left a dark film in the tub. Looking around the bathroom you could see the filth and dirt everywhere. We packed up quickly and got the hell out of there. There’s no way this place should be charging as much as they do. The health department needs to complete a surprise visit.
