The George Penang by The Crest Collection

新開的酒店， 地點非常好， 在Komtar 附近， 吃飯非常方便。 步行就有吃的， 酒吧街， 歷史建築，景點。 早餐很普通， 沒什麼特色。但檳城很多美食，所以不會在酒店吃。

Overall is good, The staff are helpful and understanding. Just that Breakfast start at 7am, actually abit late for us as this is a business trip so will need to rush for breakfast! Room is good just that is next to the main road so abit noisy~

Check in process took awhile, even though we were quite lucky and there was no queue when we arrived. Managed to check in around 1+pm. Lobby and rooms look clean and new, but I did kill a couple of mosquitoes in the lobby and the lift. Pool and gym were unmanned, and no water dispenser or bottled water provided at either facility. Gym is small and quite stuffy, but functional. Equipment is new. Breakfast buffet is average - can do without given the myriad food options nearby.

Great room, eco friendly. Didn't try their breakfast, we're in Penang afterall, and next to Kheng Pin which serves really good lor bak for breakfast. Only downside is that they're still renovating/constructing their steam room. Had a happy surprise that the pool is salt water instead of chlorine, which is amazing to swim in. Would come back here when I'm returning to Penang.

The best hotel in Penang we ever stayed. Location was just perfect. Imagine looking for parking in Penang Road hunting for best food? We just walked 3 min to the infamous Toh Soon cafe from theGeorge. Another 5 min you can enjoy Pg Rd cendol. Parking in the hotel was a breeze. Just one level basement and a friendly attendant. It was equipped with elevated system in case of flash flood. The only lift transported us directly from parking to room floor, bypassing lobby. Hotel guest officers were friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to Nagfal for fulfilling our requests effortlessly. Room deco was refreshing, big LED tv was definitely the highlight of the stay. Bring your own hdmi cable and you can watch from your device. There was a derby football match the night we stayed and the bartender was willing to showcase the match to us. Huge rain shower was another advantage. Spoilt us. Never spent so long in shower. Bed, comforter and fluffy pillows so comfy. One honorary mention… the hotel takeaway comb won me over. Never had such a neat and voluminous hair after combing. I’ll definitely go back to theGeorge end of this year.

Overall nice stay, room is about 10 mins walk to chulia street, kimberly street and macalister street. A good location for both food during the day, drinking by night. Staff overall friendly and nice to chat with for recommendation.
