B&B Hotel Grenoble Université

Bien passé sauf que j'ai été prélevé 2 fois BB hôtel m'a également prélevé car lors de la prise de la chambre à la borne j'ai dû régler en CB Je comprends pas

My husband tried to book into this hotel on his bike trip in August 2023. Upon arrival, you are required to put your credit card details into the machine first, before you can collect the keys to your room. This is an automated system. Due to a system fault, the card was debited twice, but when the manager was called, he insisted that no transaction had taken place. Since one month we have now tried to retrieve the money but to no avail. B&B hotels headquarters have confirmed that this was an error and told us three weeks ago that the money would be reimbursed by the hotel, but to this day, we have not seen a penny! The manager, who is rude and incompetent, seeks any excuse not to refund the money. Stay away from this hotel, it’s a con!

Not the most charming location, but there's free parking and it's a 10 minute walk from a tram stop that gets you into the center of Grenoble quickly. Room is quite small but clean.

Everything looks nice and new on the website. Alas, it's getting old and not being properly maintained. - The switch for one of the lamps is visibly busted -the shower leaks explosively at you -the top of your shower faucet comes off in your hand (it's easy to reattach once the surprise wears off, though, there is that). You'll get a basic but decent room discounting the very rank carpet behind the door, though, with a small workspace - that definitely a plus. The heater being located under the desk is a lifesaver, because it's cold in there. My main issue with my stay was not the whimsical electronic lock that takes 2 or 5 tries to work properly, possibly leaving you stuck outside, but the fact that when I checked in online, the confirmation email I got specified "no check out procedure, just leave by 12". Well, the B&B hotel chain should check with their local employees, because it promises you a place to stay until 12, the manager will come to rant aggressively at you at 10:12 and you will be out of there by 10:30, nevermind that you tried to explain about the email, he doesn't care and won't let you get a word in. I'm wondering whether he talks to all clients that way, or just short women travelling alone ... If like me, you chose that room because you're preparing for an exam and need the morning study time before leaving, you're out of luck.

The room wasn't cleaned.... the bathroom was leaking... t

Basic room conveniently close to the university. However, check in machine required four phone calls to check in and finally the manager to come. Some of the buttons for the room ID did not appear to work and so had to wait for a new one to be created.

Conditioner did not work well. Same problem was in another room of some friends, too.

Front desk person was helpful and courteous. Free wifi was terrible: never more than 2 bars and disconnecting every few minutes. 10% discount to nearby Hippopotamus restaurant

Chambre propre, très bonne douche, petit souci avec la chasse d'eau qui ne se remettait pas correctement, mais rien de grave. Établissement proche de la voie rapide, à proximité immédiate d'un hippopotamus. Très bon petit déjeuner. Accueil cordial du gérant et de la petite chatte qui a décidé d'élire domicile dans l'enceinte de l'établissement et que vous aurez peut-être la chance de croiser au comptoir d'accueil. Un endroit simple, qui fait le taff pour un arrêt sur la route, ou pour le boulot.
