Abba Playa Gijon Hotel

La ubicación en plena playa de San Lorenzo es inmejorable. El hotel muy confortable y con piscina agradable

Genial trato desde nuestra entrada en recepción, Limpieza perfecta, ubicación inmejorable, baños de Mármol muy bonitos, parking 20€ día Recomendable.

Loving Gijon for remaining Spanish and not going for mass tourism, and, having stayed at the Abba in San Sebastien, we were very much looking forward to our two night stay here. The prices is what should have made us aware of the differences and not just because of differing geographical positions. During our stay, there was nowhere to sit outside during the day when the temperature was excellent even in a stiff breeze. The swimming pool is only open for three months to early September although never found it in any case! The Roof Terrace which is excellent with tables snd settees only opens at 17.00 - why? For hotel information you have yo go the ubiquitous internet site which gives more questions than answers and herself loves to read the printed information which is a lot more referable! The rooms are smaller (but comfortable enough) but totally lack sound proofing as clearly heard the busy traffic below all day, people in other rooms and moving in the corridor. Parking underneath was spacious and readily available during out stay. No food, from end of lunch, is apparently available anywhere in the hotel until 20.00 in the evening and the same, rather simple, menu is served in the bar and internal dining room. I would add, though, it is pretty good and remarkably cheap! It is a good 10/15 minute walk to central town and maybe 20/30 to the old town area for oldies like us. It was an adequate stay but would not be looking to repeat it on our next visit to this city

The room is literally on the road. People driving in cars can see into our room. The hotel published in booking they have parking. They forgot to write that they have very few parking spaces so we had to look for parking. The receptionist was so rude, I never expirance such behaviour, she did not want to help or assist. She started raising her voice, and we felt uncomfortable

El hotel está bien situado frente a la playa, pero muy lejos del centro. Buen servicio, limpieza y un hotel bonito, pero lo que no nos gustó es que las cristaleras ocupan toda la pared y no aíslan ni del frío ni del ruido, sobre todo si coges la habitación vista al mar, que cuesta más, está frente a la carretera y se oye todo el ruido de los coches al pasar. Además, si intentabas poner la calefacción, a más de 30 grados, siendo el aire lo único que tienen era aire frío lo que salía. No lo recomendaría fuera del verano.

Estupendo hotel en primera línea del mar -alejado de la zona central El diseño es fantástico, las habitaciones amplias, recomendables con vistas, la nuestra 302, con una perspectiva fantástica., muy limpias. Muy buena opción en desayuno, productos sanos y deliciosos quesos os de la región. Recomendable la cafetería-lounge de la 1ª planta, con unas espectaculares vistas. Muy amable todo el personal,
