Palapart Gikas Gouvia

Had a brilliant week at Palapart, could not fault anything. We booked a comfort room and I asked for high floor overlooking pool. We stayed in room 26 which had a huge balcony with a fabulous panoramic view. Had the sun all day. When we walked around felt so lucky, as many of the rooms had a balcony which would only hold a small table and 2 chairs. Apartment well equipped, everything you could need and spotless. Full sized fridge/freezer, cooker with induction hob, microwave, sandwich toaster but no toaster. Pool bar does breakfast and snacks throught day. Full breakfas 12 euros. We travelled with Jet2 and Aircon was 10 euros per day. BBC World news is only English channel. Mini market next door sells everything you could need, we broke a glass and managed to buy replacement here! Large supermarket on main road 7 mins walk is also very good, wine unbelievably cheap and palatable. For breakfast we recommend BBQ Eat, great English breakfast and welcoming service. If medical help needed, try pharmacy on main roaRd next to petrol station. Don't bother with walk in centre in Gouvia Town. Dr (I assume he was a dr) was sitting outside with his back to us, approached him for advice he didn't turn round, just grunted it was closed and contact pharmacy in next village, bit it would probably be closed! He showed no interest,not even bothering to ask what we needed. We had no idea where 'next village' was. Bus into Corfu town was easy and air conditioned, unlike many foreign buses. Tickets from mini market cheaper and easier than paying driver. Had a fabulous week and would return to Palapart, perhaps earlier or later in season for lower temperatures.

We just returned from a week stay in Palapart Gikas, beautiful apartments spotless clean and very close to Gouvia center. We had a two bedroomed panoramic apartment and it was so spacious, included air conditioning and two ensuite bathrooms, ironing boards, iron, hairdryers, fridge freezer kettle etc cleaned every day and towels changed daily. The living room also had a sofa bed so would easily fit 6 people comfortably. We had a lovely bottle of wine on arrival and bottled water and crisps/sweets, very nice touch. The pool area was lovely and a very nice bar & restaurant. A little supermarket down the road, and a larger supermarket in Gouvia center. The bus stop to Corfu is only just around the corner, if you cross the main road you can get the bus (blue) to Ipsos €2 each. We also got the green bus to Kassiopi for €3 each well worth the trip beautiful scenery along the way. The staff at the complex were very friendly, and the restaurants and bars in Gouvia are plentiful, lovely walk down to the beach and Marina. Corfu town is well worth a visit too. The resort is very laid back and the people were very friendly. We would definitely recommend.

Cannot recommend this place enough!! Where to start.. Rooms: immaculately clean, plenty of space for a family of 4, fully equipped kitchen, good size balcony, bins emptied and towels changed daily, TV and air con in room although we didn’t use either. We had a lovely pool and sea view room which was a nice surprise for us as we booked last minute so didn’t expect to get a room with a view. Staff: friendly, welcoming and very helpful and really lovely with our children. Food: we enjoyed a couple of different pizzas as poolside snacks and the toasties are good. We didn’t sample much as we ate out every day. Pool: typical size that you would expect at self catering apartments with a nice little baby pool. The main pool is very deep at one end and has a steep drop off to 2.6m- perfect for jumping in but just watch out with any not-confident swimmers. Location: situated up on a hill- not too steep, easy for us 4 to walk up- which provides gorgeous views of the mountains, sea and rooftops below. Gouvia centre is a 5 minute walk. To get to Gouvia you walk down the street, use crossings to cross the main road and then walk up a snicket which brings you out where shops and restaurants are. The main road has bus stops along it where you can catch the blue bus to Corfu town which takes around 20 minutes. In the other direction the blue bus takes you to Dasia where there is a beautiful beach and sun beds. Also, our transfer was only 20-30 minutes from the airport which was perfect after a long day of travelling. Overall we had a fabulous time here, every aspect from cleanliness to location was perfect for us. Our children (6 and 4 yo) loved it and one of them wrote in the guest book that she wanted to stay forever.

Lovely hotel, very nice staff and lovely position just far enough away from the main town. Very clean rooms and good service. Nice kitchenette with all you would need. We hired a car from the town and there is a good parking area for guests right beside hotel. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little hotel. Spotlessly clean and well run. I do think the pools need to be heated if you open early in the year. They were freezing. Food at the pool bar is expensive and not that good. Rooms lovely and cleaned very nicely. Cleaners are really friendly and seem to enjoy their work. We left some euros to say thank you.

Palapart gouvia what a find for a relaxing 5 days in the sunshine. Because it's only may the hotel wasn't very busy but I feel in the summer it wouldn't be as relaxing . All staff friendly and helpful the maid kept leaving my patio doors open which is a massive risk i did ask at reception but it kept happing very poor serives especially being on the bottom floor , I was allocated room 1 which was fine had everything you needed for a holiday a little kitchenette if you wanted to cook negatively the view from the balcony was looking dieclty at back end of the bar and steps leading to the pool so sitting out there was a nightmare with people walking past and all the other rooms had gates but room 1 didn't due to steps so had to walk around which was a pain in my eyes. I stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was ok limited but always found something to eat and was always hot only negative was it was 8.30 till 10 due to a few trips I booked I had pick up at 8, 8.30 and so breakfast wasn't available wish like other hotels I stayed in it starts about 7am the area around the hotel is lush 5 minutes walk into town for shops and food i had for in [9 muses ] [ vergina] and [ la'kantas ] out the 3 La'kantas was my favourite , if you want to venture into corfu town there is a bus stop left at the main road but get your tickets IN THE MINI SUPERMARKET on the right just leaving the hotel it's 2 euros ish cheaper I had a lovely time here and will return go with an open mind and enjoy your holiday

Well I have to say that this is the cleanest Hotel I have ever stayed in. Beautiful clean bed linen and towels. Our rooms had everything you would need if you wanted to cook a meal. Our maid was lovely and very hard working. Our balconies were equipped with lovely rattan furniture and coffee table. Also a drying rack. Only thing we did have to mention to staff was the breakfast on our first day. It was very bad. It was just warm and had obviously been sitting for a while instead of being replenished. For 14€ each we expected much better. People we spoke to also said it was too expensive and not good quality. Loved Gouvia and especially the Mollfetta restaurant on the sea front.

I can honestly say, with all my years of travel and staying in different hotels across the world, this is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are polite and can't do enough for you. The pools and pool areas are kept clean and tidy. The food is cooked fresh and tastes great. The rooms are spotless with cleaner's popping in most days. I've read reviews saying about the walk to the beach, yes you have to cross a road, but in any country you cross roads using the same strategy as your own country and common sense. The area its self is good with plenty to do and corfu is a bus/taxi journey down the road. All in all brilliant.
