Bull Dorado Beach & Spa

Just back from a wonderful week at this Fabulous hotel with my 16yr old Son. The hotel is amazing value for what you get. The staff were extra helpful and friendly throughout all services. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the shower was better than mine at home with constant hot water. And the view from our balcony which was sea and pool facing was beautiful day and night. The food was outstanding and with more than enough choice through all sittings in the restaurant, And then there was also pool bar snacks which were again delicious with plenty of choice. Would highly recommend and will return very soon hopefully

Family break (9 of us) everyone was happy. Location was lovely, set on the beach. Local area ok but we only ventured out twice as was AI. Food buffet was great. Something for everyone. Pool area lovely. Plenty of beds. Animation team were only ok .. nice folk but lacking imagination in our opinion. Same music every day for instance. But nothing major. We were side view sea room and we were at the side of the hotel. Not sea facing. Upside, it was very quiet. Very nice lounge on reception level at night time with fab views if you want to swerve the entertainment. Spa underneath is great, our eldest and partner used it daily. Very few British. Mostly German/Scandanavian. No problem with that but Queuing must be a British thing lol. All in all very nice. We would return x

Everything I wanted from a family holiday. We travelled as 2 adults, a 10 year old and a 3 year old. We’ve travelled to lots of all inclusive hotels and this was the most comfortable I’ve been. The main pluses for me were that everything was very close by which made life easy with kids. The beach is beautiful and sandy, the water is full of little fish and crabs on the rocks, surrounded by a sea wall so lovely and safe, very hot midday so we tended to go in the evening, all immediately outside the hotel. The main pool is large enough for the size of the hotel but small enough to warm up through the day, hotel was fully booked but we always found a sun bed. The thing that set this hotel apart was the free and unlimited spa. Several lovely warm pools plus saunas etc for adults. The kids can use the pools from 10-12 each day which mine loved. The food was good and fresh, plenty of choice, the pizza and giant Canaria olives were to die for. The all inclusive drinks were impressive with black label whisky, baileys, cocktails etc included. Arrived late and there was a lovely selection of salads and bread etc. Room was good, spacious and modern. The three main beds were comfy although the 4th sofa bed was not, my toddler managed fine on it with blankets and cushions. Air con was good, shower was good and hot. Cleaned every day although sheets not changed, but we managed this by trying not to walk sand into the room. The hotel is in a quiet town so it was lovely and peaceful, but there were shops and walks on your doorstep. All in all fabulous, would definitely return.

The room was decent, although slightly disjointed to some of the rest of the hotel which looks a little outdated. The lifts, as some have said on here previously, can be temperamental on their timing and can often leave you waiting. There was a life guard on the first few days who was very strict with people around the pool and advised my 5 year old son wasn’t allowed to jump in as they don’t have a license,…not sure what that was about?? Luckily we didn’t see him after the first few days. Folk are throwing towels on sun beds well before 8am so you need to be quick to get a good spot around the pool. We were also gutted to find out that the pool doesn’t get sun until around 11am which was a bit disappointing. Food was ok but not great, often took us time to settle on what to get based on what was available. Evening entertainment was pretty poor and the room where it took place was a bit depressing. We went out 3 of our 7 nights as we couldn’t face it. Overall this was a pretty decent hotel but could be improved massively with a few slight tweaks. It was clean and staff were pretty friendly so would recommend on a budget.

I have just returned from a week at this hotel, we have had a very good week. The food is lovely each night was a themed night so we had a Greek night, Italian night and Norwegian night, there was also lots to choose from with a salad section and we had someone cooking fresh food one night was pizza and one night was fajitas. The waiting staff was lovely especially Anderson. There was also the Snack bar by the pool the food there was lovely there was wedges, pizza, chips, salad and there was also a board with extras you could order. The maid come in our room everyday I thought that was lovely. The hotel was very clean and the most of the staff was lovely just the odd few that were rude. The rooms was spacious and the beds was comfy even the sofa bed. We also went to the spa and had a foot massage that was lovely.

Booked with Jet2 and not told about refurbishment along promenade path so not a pleasant walk along sea front. We paid extra for a part sea view and top floor away from any noise. Our room on the 9th floor was in the corner of the L shaped building and looked out onto the side wall and balcony of rooms round the corner and the outside lift. If you looked to the right there was a partial sea view so no doubt filled the brief in their opinion. Also being on the top floor we were disturbed every night by the constant firing up of what sounded like a boiler. I think we drew the short straw on room allocation and paying extra was a waste of money. Also for guests flying home later in the day there is not a dedicated room for you to shower and change at the end of the day into your travel clothes. I was directed to a room in the spa, the floor was wet and people were constantly knocking and irate because they could not use the toilet . For a hotel of this standard where everywhere else was excellent this facility was poor and let it down. Having said all this I would go again in a couple of years when the work outside is complete as the hotel was excellent with spacious rooms and a good choice of food and drinks. Just won't bother next time paying the extra but take my chance .

A really lovely hotel, with the friendliest staff who are also efficient and knowledgeable. Clean spacious rooms and a wonderful range of amenities for all ages. Family friendly pool and spa. Rated as 3*+ but for us it is 4 * We'll definitely be back.

We spent really nice and easy time in Bull Dorado. Really nice people, clean area and nice rooms. Hotel is located near beach suitable for children. In hotel you can drink champane from the bottles and fill tour glass by prepared cocktails. Choose this hotel

Not long back from our second visit to Bull Dorado (first was April 23) and as per last year, we really enjoyed it again this year and are already considering 2025. The hotel is fantastic and positioned in a lovely quiet part of Arguineguín. The staff too were amazing albeit occasionally under pressure and we felt they could do with some help. For example, in the restaurants there was only one or two waiting staff clearing tables as fast as they could. They were doing a great job but more staff would have made their life easier and the guest experience better too. The same in the pool bar. Ana was a superstar serving food and keeping everything going. How she did it by herself was impressive. When she wasn’t about, it dropped a little. Again not from the staff not trying, but from the demands of the job. Some small gripes with the lifts which should be better but something you learn to deal with. They were temperamental with long wait times, one was out of Service a few times during our stay. Happy to use the stairs but with 2 younger kids, over quite a few levels isn’t practical. Particular acknowledgment to Jo in reception for helping us with our room. And to Yasmin & Marta from the Animation team; our kids absolutely adored them. Such great assets to the hotel so thank you again!! This year as per last year, we read all the horror stories on TripAdvisor about a sickness bug but we never seen any signs of it with guests. The hotel is one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. The cleaners were always active and visible. What we did notice was how filthy ‘people’ can be, down right disgusting to be frank with one example of observing a guest sneezing over food and others using the toilets but not washing hands. Very easy to blame the hotel for issues completely out of their control. Equally we seen ‘lots’ of hand sanitisers everywhere. Food was always of great quality with a good range of choice. And the steak at the pool bar was always a winner. All in all, a lovely hotel, with fantastic staff and one of our favourite holidays.
