We recently stayed at Hotel Veranda and were thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was charming, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating especially Ajay “Coconut” but also Kunal, Cindy, Doushan and Balram. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable beds. The hotel's location was perfect. “Group of seven” from Netherlands.

This was my first time in Mauritius. The boutique hotel was beautifully renovated and maintained. My room was always cleaned to detail, the staff were so friendly, especially the hotel manager Giany. This made the hotel very different to the large chains as it gave a personal touch. Giany was always around to greet his guests and get to know them, even upon leaving he assisted me with some lost property issues. I think this is a very important aspect of running a hotel. Anything I wanted, he assisted as did the staff! The pool was perfectly situated against a stunning private beach with staff always around to clean/ take orders/ chat to their guests. The food was always fresh at the buffet and there was sufficient choice! I treated myself to a massage at the hotel. My masseuse was very professional and knew exactly what I needed. I couldn’t ask for more. I would definitely stay here again! I absolutely recommend!

This could be a fantastic hotel but the service is sooooo slow you could get dehydrated waiting! Rooms are made up each day but floors never washed or toilets properly cleaned .Ajay Coconut is the only person who has a great work ethic and has a real sense of customer service. We got so fed up with lack of service even when it wasn’t busy . I gave up twice in the Cirque bar in the evening as I sat there for 30 minutes with no one asking me what I’d like to drink and on one occasion we ordered drinks and they didn’t arrive so my husband went to find out what had happened to them and they were sitting on the bar as no one had bothered to serve them to us . Also at 10pm cushions and light were removed from empty tables even though people were still drinking and it’s not supposed to close until 11pm so you felt uncomfortable. Final evening the food was dreadful not enough salads or vegetables and the meat was so tough you couldn’t cut it and when you got it in your mouth you just couldn’t chew enough to swallow. It was if they hadn’t had a delivery so had to make do . Basically there was a lot of official looking staff who didn’t seem to realise that they needed to lead by example. Not trained enough employees. On a positive note the staff are very polite and friendly .

We had a great time at veranda grand Baie, it is a great location. The hotel was very cosy with a small beach area around it and another beach just round the corner. They also offer free glass bottom boat rides which was cool! Shout out to Nitesh who went out of his way to accommodate us! Also Ajay the server who was always very friendly.

I spent 2 weeks with my mum & dad in this hotel. It is a great location with a quiet beach just around the corner as well as a restaurant bar with live music called Njoy. The hotel is very open, and airy and has a very chilled vibe. The staff are very friendly and accommodating especially a waiter called Ajay (Ajay Coconut) who we saw at breakfast and dinner. He went out of his way to make special iced coffees for me every morning and was very nice to talk to!! ~ Jessica (room 512, 514)

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which was one of our honeymoon-stop. The hotel is renovated and in a very lovely style refurbished. The reception and the bar are in a wonderful bohemian style, you feel comfortable from the first minute. We had a great welcome with drinks at the bar, until we checked in. The hotel is very good located, only some minutes away there are a lot of restaurants and shops in grand baie. Some of the rooms are close to a club, and during the weekend there is some noise in the night. after one night due to the very lovely senior manager Mr. Clarel we got a new room with sea view for free. This was amazing for our honeymoon. The food in the restaurant for breakfast was good, we enjoyed asian food, but there is everything you want and it is delicous. So a very nice stay at this hotel - Thank you!

five days of total relaxation at the Veranda! We felt pampered until the last moment, everyone was extremely kind, especially with our 4yo daughter. Ver nice pool with bay view, very nice beach. Excellent quality food and very welcome daily activities available. With them also the Sega dance show! We'll be back for sure, thanks again Veranda!

Went for a dinner at Veranda Grand Bay with family and we were warmly attended by all team members. Special Thanks to Chef Sudhir, Francois at the Bar, Cindy at the Restaurant and Jean-Pierre. Excellent Service.. Keep it up👍
