The owner, Mel was an angel! She was very personable, helped with dinner reservations and made an awesome breakfast! Hope to return some day.

10 mins from Kilkenny. Easy to find. Beautiful country living. The pictures of this place don’t do it justice. And the interior design is DETAILED. Everything is different yet it all flows just beautifully. I want to live here. We ended up buying some groceries and wine and cooked our own dinner enjoying the the ambiance. Mel, our hostess, was very friendly. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is renting a car. Don’t stay in the city …stay here.

I can’t say enough about how great our stay was. Mel was a gracious host, the room was impeccable, tastefully decorated and clean. Breakfast was amazing. Mel accommodated our request for an earlier check-in and offered lots of tips to make our stay a memorable one.
Would stay there again in the future. I highly recommend this property.

Very nice property. Check in time of 6 pm to 8 pm needs to be a wider range. Site is located on a farmland with 10 to 15 minutes to nearest restaurant. Breakfast freshly made by Mel was excellent. I would stay again if a hotel closer to town was not available.

Mel is a classy friendly host. Her home is beautifully decorated and extremely clean.
Breakfast was amazing and served in her warm and charming dining room.
Mel was extremely helpful with our travel plans. Property easy access.
I am a fussy lady, so trust me this is a lovely place to stay. Thank you Mel

The Ballybur Lodge was absolutely Beautiful inside & out.
The owner Mel was friendly & excellent cook. If I ever get back to her area I will most definitely stay with her.

This is truly a gem of a property. Decor, gardens, food and host all excellent. Some nice touches such as a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, fresh milk, chocolate snack bars and water stocked in the mini fridge, room has double doors leading to a lovely private patio area, bathroom stocked with toiletries and a few good books left in the room. Room was beautifully decorated and beds very comfy. Host was lovely and cooked a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend Ballybur Lodge.
