I made a reservation for my wife and son traveling cross country. They were exhausted when they got in at 7:40pm. There was no line in the foyer, but the person at the desk was so slow, and after giving them keys that didn’t work and having to go back and wait again for the slow clerk to get new ones, they did not get into the room until 8:30. 50 MINUTES to get into a room!! And the whole time the clerk was saying how long she had been working and how tired she was. Worst check in ever! I tried to call to complain, but no one answered the listed number for the hotel. I’m all for showing grace to struggling employees, but the reason you’re there is for tired travelers, not to exhaust them more.
