Premier Inn Great Yarmouth (Seafront)

Stayed at Premier Inn's many times and always been impressed with the service. Unfortunately this time the restaurant and food options let our stay down immensely. The food was returned as it was inedible, the Salmon was burnt to a crisp and had to be returned I was shocked it even left the kitchen and was served, the steak was also cold and items missing. The service was very slow, after being seated we waited 30 minutes before we had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. Tables also remained uncleared after eating - to note the restaurant was not that busy This is the second time visiting this restaurant and from memory it was slow last time although it has definitely declined. If needed we would potentially stay at the hotel again but we would not return to the restaurant.

The Location and the Staff are Top Notch and the Rooms are Clean and Spacious with everything you could possibly need from a big bed to a TV and a Kettle. Also the Rooms come with a Fantastic View of the Beach. It is Perfect for family's, couples and business guests

The room was adequate but the inability to open the windows even just a crack was frustrating and lead to the room being overly hot and stuffy. This made getting a proper nights' sleep very challenging on a hot day however, unable to open a window, all we could do was put the aircon on but this made little difference. Whilst the room was adequate, the restaurant facilities (which I appreciate are run by a separate company) were awful and for this reason we would never return to or recommend this hotel - It is by far one of the worst we have stayed in. On arrival on the evening of Tues, 27th August we had a meal in the restaurant. My daughter had sausage and mash which was the most palatable of the meals we had but even so the mash was grey. My son had popcorn chicken which was overcooked and rock hard, as were the chips. I had steak which was fatty and chewy and the chips were overcooked. The floor was filthy - the carpet was covered in food detritus. In the morning we went down early for breakfast (around 07:30/08:00) and I was shocked to see the floor and carpet was still just as filthy as the night before! There was still food scraps on the base / foot of our table. When I went into the toilets, I was appalled - the smell of used sanitary items hit me as soon as I went through the first door into the anteroom and when I then walked into the ladies' toilets themselves, the smell was so overpowering that I had to leave immediately as I was unable to stop gagging. It was disgusting! I was then unable to eat anything for breakfast due to the nausea, although in all honesty, it was the worst looking Premier Inn breakfast offering I have ever seen. The mushrooms were practically raw, the selection of pastries was poor, the bacon was overcooked. The coffee machine was out of order and the waitress made a great deal of fuss of having to get us one from the machine behind the bar. All of us ate hardly anything and couldn't wait to get out of there!

Expensive and uncomfortable. Very condescending receptionist thought they were running front desk of Savoy not a Premier Inn. Premium Wifi was supposed to let me link three (3) items, but would only let me link one (1). Minibar was only a fridge with water. Coffee machine - in room - did not work. Coffee machine - at breakfast - did not work. Breakfast food was terrible. Premium room was uncomfortable. Sleep was almost impossible.

The hotel was fine close to the Seafront and amusements. The staff friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on the last night it was hard to get attention from the staff when getting seated not there fault as it is hard to see customers where the desk is positioned. Breakfast was freshly cooked which we thought was great but there was no coffee as the machine was broken there was coffee sachets. While eating are breakfast I saw a coffee machine behind the bar i asked the waitress do you have to pay for that she said no and asked what would we like this was not offered to us at the time, looks like if you don't ask you don't get, not acceptable as people want a coffee in the morning as this is what you have paid for.

Great location, parking, comfortable rooms. Peaceful undisturbed sleep both nights. The Beefeater table service is haphazard, with no visible leadership, staff shouting at bar team across our table, with no consideration for our conversation or privacy. Food quality and presentation fails to meet expectations. Grill chefs shout for service - but clearly have no pride or standards, my Mixed Grill bore no resemblance to menu photo & Crunchy Chicken Burger was clumsily put together - Sadly for a brand celebrating 50 years, surely ability to fry eggs is a given for a steakhouse/critical skill to deliver a decent breakfast. Hence why we ate breakfast & dinner elsewhere.

We came here for are holiday and birthday weekend and it didn't disappoint The Room was nice the sea view was nice too the staff were friendly and the optional breakfast was good too also the area is nice as well would definitely come again George The Traveller

Great location on the edge of the seafront. Friendly staff clean hotel with good facilities. Accessible room was great, however we asked for it to be made into a twin room which thry were happy yo do but the quality of the single mattress was clearly not the same quality of tge usual doubles which affected sleep as they weren't very comfortable

Meals were poor, particularly breakfast which has always been a big plus at Premier Inn. The room needs grips to allow older people to get in the bath for a shower -Over the bath is very poor, but powerful shower.
