Holiday 2021 – France Holiday dates 11th to 26th September 2021 Accommodation: Nova Lodges, 2 beds lodge (1606) Staying: Myself and partner Weather: couple of rainy days but generally good around 27 degrees Overall We had a lovely stay. Everything was amazing. Accommodation was clean. Everything you could want in one resort. We’ve stayed in various parts of France over a 20-year period. Usually going to the West but thought for a change the South would be nice and we were not disappointed. The list below is obviously not exhaustive, I’m just trying to give an overview of this fabulous resort. We will defintaly return in 2022 (Covid permitting obvs) Our Journey from the UK Caught the noon Eurotunnel and drove approx. 3 hours, stayed overnight in Troyes in an IBIS styles which was really nice – found a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. Left the next morning and approx. 8 hours driving (traffic dependant and a few stops) we arrived at Riviera Villages and then shown to Nova Lodges for our stay. Note, the resort is made up of different loges names and areas. Nova lodges is our preferred choice unless you’ve an unlimited budget, in which case, you can stay in other lodges with amazing views over the sea. Accommodation: 2 single beds and a double. Bedrooms are a little on the small side but plenty of space to hang and store clothes. Kitchen with hob (no oven) and micro, fridge and freezer. Airconditioning which is such a bonus. A nice little veranda to sit in the evening to have drinks and dinner. Overall site amenities: The Pool Really lovely large pool which accommodates approx. 900 people. Shallow area with water features for small children. Has sun loungers and nice large sun umbrellas although there aren’t that many of these. Toilets located just by the side of the pool with showering facilities. Little outside café area to get drinks, lunch etc all nicely shaded. The Sea Really nice long stretching beach and apart from one exclusive (and expensive to hire sun beds), you cannot hire sun loungers or umbrellas – see my list of things to take below. You can carry the sun lounger allocated outside of the lodge to the beach though. Nice cafes, restaurants and a few little shops dotted about. Brilliant masseuse on the beach, €20 for an hour. Evening entertainment The evening entertainment in our opinion was fantastic with some fairly (big names French) playing there. In particular Myriam Abel and Roland Baron were spectacular in fact all the entertainment was fantastic. Hopefully they will be back next year. Supermarkets There are two small supermarkets on-site where you can buy your daily croissants and bread. They also sell everything else you might need. That said, it might be worth a trip out (2 kms approx.) to local superstores – save yourself a couple of quid. Little train You can catch a little train for a sight seeing tour which takes about an hour – very reasonably priced. You can hop off a
