Mountain Lodge is a Ski In/Ski Out complex located just steps from the slopes and Snowshoe Village. Parking is free and easy for our guests with a private parking lot which is staffed and secured. Walk out of the building and you are right at the top of the high-speed Ballhooter Lift – you can’t find a more convenient place to stay for easy slope access! If you have kids the indoor play area is right outside of the door. The main lobby includes The Mountain Grind (open 5 days a week (closed Tues/Wed.), 8-11 am (hoping to extend hours with good traffic)- includes quality coffee, hot chocolate, juices, hot breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods. The fireplace atrium in the central part of the complex is a relaxing place to get together with friends after a busy day on the mountain. Other atrium areas of the complex have a video arcade, exercise equipment, a movie night area, and a kid’s play structure. There are also vending machines (with credit card readers) throughout including 4 Coca-Cola machines, 2 Pepsi machines, and 2 snack machines. No stairs or elevators needed. The condo has a gorgeous views of Shavers Lake and the Mountain Lodge Lawn. The Mountain Lodge Lawn is a viewing area for the new teaching terrain for the Snowshoe's Pre-Ski program. Our condo is east facing; therefore, guest are able to see their children from our unit if they are participating in the pre-ski program. The kitchen has everything you need to dine in - silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, dishes, range, microwave, full-sized refrigerator with pull out freezer with ice maker, toaster, coffee maker, and more. The living room has a sleeper sofa and recliner with a wall mounted tv and mountain views. A portable A/C unit is available in the summer. The bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed with quality bedding and wall mounted tv. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combo and vanity. Both of the bedrooms and the living room are equipped with flat screen TV's, with lots of high definition channels and premium channels included in the lineup.The kitchen is well stocked and includes a crock-pot, waffle maker, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and Keurig. There is not a dining room table, just the bar with stools and a coffee table that rises up to add four extra places to sit and eat.There are two full bathrooms with a combination tub/shower in each.The condo has a built-in ski rack with lots of extra hooks.We have a washer/dryer located in the condo along with a boot dryer. Coin-operated laundry facilities are located down the hall by the elevator for larger loads.Just a reminder...this is a mountain condo, and it does NOT have air-conditioning. There are several box fans provided. Split Rock Pools and hot tubs are right next door. You must pay an additional daily fee to access this amenity.Mountain Lodge has its own security-guarded parking lot for Mountain Lodge guests. Snowshoe is in the middle of nowhere. Plan ahead and bring anything you might need. There is a small general store a short walk across the parking lot, where you will be able to purchase some groceries. There is a Dollar General at the bottom of the Snowshoe Mountain about 10 to 15 minute drive. The full size grocery store and liquor store is a little over 30 minutes away from Mountain Lodge in Marlinton. Cell service is limited due to the mountainous terrain. AT&T is the best service provider. Verizon service is limited in the area, but generally available in the village.The Lodge offers a spacious lobby with a large stone fireplace that is a perfect location for family fun. ML features a skating rink with artificial ice in the atrium area; a game room offering over 30 video games and amusements and a children's play area.
