Hotel was very clean throughout. Some of the furniture showed signs of wear. Mattress was very firm, too firm for us causing poor sleep. Disappointed by the lack of kettle/coffee/tea making facilties in the room. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and easily switched to English when my German failed me Didn't eat at the hotel as thought breakfast was expensive for continental buffet style.

My husband Has been here many times on business trips . Now we stayed here on our way back from Belgium.
It’s very convenient if you’re traveling on road E1.
The room is very spacious and quiet.
The restaurant serves excellent food and the breakfast was great with different choices. Just perfect.
When we stayed here before we took the train into city center and that was easy.

A very comfortable hotel with restaurant. Pleasant surroundings and staff.
The only negative was the hotel’s serpentine layout of hallways.
Great comfortable place to stay for our visit to friends in the Hamburg area.

Overall this is a great hotel to stay in convenient to my family locally and easy access to bergedorf and hamburg. The staff as always fantastic. Special mention to Yvonne on weekends. 2 negatives whoever. The first is having no fridge in the room, i am sorry guys simply not good enough for a 4 star hotel. The 2nd no air conditioning in the current hot conditions in europe made for a very uncomfortable sleep.

Great location! We stayed at this lovely hotel for only 1 night as we had to continue to Sweden the next day. We loved it & wished we could have stayed longer, perhaps taking a day or two to explore nearby Hamburg.The hotel is extremly pleasent in both exterior and interior. Our room was large & very comfortable, and breakfast had everything & more. The hotel has its own wonderful restaurant inside and a large coffe terass outside surrounded by beutifuly arranged trees and flowers. There is also a large parking lot immediately at the hotel entrance. We highly recomand this hotel and it will be our first choice even in future.
