The story of why you should avoid this place: - we booked a deluxe room with balcony 2 months in advance on an app and they overbooked it and tried to give us a very small, smelly and no balcony (or any view) room at the same price when we arrived - the receptionist tried to tell us that is somehow our fault (??) and he was very rude. He said they overbooked on purpose as some people book but don’t show (??) - why do we even book then?! Also I told them on the app multiple times before arriving that we are on our way and we were not late or anything. It was just very weird - the room was not changed to the one we actually paid for and we only stayed 1 night - it was dirty, full of mold, the sink was broken, no windows to the outside (just to a wall between buildings), cold in the room, dusty, the toilet got clogged after we used it once. Water was leaking from the toilet too when we arrived and there was no hot water to shower. - they gave us (after we complained) a small amount of money back (as we didn’t get what we booked) and the receptionist said he would give us more money back if we cancel the reservation on the app :) (this was of course so I could not leave a bad review but my review has no price unfortunatelly for him so we didn’t cancel) - other minor things were that we were not told there is a lift and it is not that obvious so we had to take the stairs to the 5th floor with our luggage, the breakfast was plenty but the chairs in the dining room were very dirty. The lights were not working when we got in the room and we had to switch them on by the electric panel. Water is infiltrated in all the walls and they are all wet. There was a “complimentary” sign near the phone (does that mean the phone calls are complimentary? Have no idea), the filters for the AC were very old but we had to use it to warm up the room a bit. Also the walls are very thin and you can hear the guests in other rooms perfectly. When entering the room, half of the entrance door is covered by a wall. As a host myself and (I want to think) a pretty understanding guest, I am very mad and sad that this kind of services exist. I am not the type to leave a bad review for minor things, but this was a horrible experience from start to finish. The receptionist was very unprofessional, the place very dirty and not well maintained - just a big scam. I bet the other rooms look also bad, but with balcony :) As I expect the hotel to respond and say that this is not true, please don’t bother as I have proof of everything as I took photos and I have proof of my original room reservation. This is not how you do tourism, sorry.
