Very good location and stuff

Nice and an easy stay

A little too far out of the main tourist area and in need of some decent maintenance and upgrade. Was part of a tour group and it appears there is a bit of a difference in rooms within same category but ours was a small double bed against the wall, so it was hard for the second person to get out. Air conditioners also poor, shower handles fell off and water wouldn’t drain properly. Breakfast was quite good but lots of air conditioners just not working making it uncomfortable. Roof top view was nice but again needed maintenance/upgrade

We stayed here 2 nights, but with a night elsewhere in between, as part of a guided tour. Our first room was on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel. The room had 3 beds (we just wanted twin beds), so not a huge amount of floor space available. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, with the bath being so high, that a wooden step stool was provided to aid getting in and out. This is less than ideal. In this room, everything seemed to work fine at least, except that for the hairdryer to work you must hold your finger on the button, or else it won't go! On our second night, we were on the 5th floor, again at the front of the hotel, but with a different room configuration. This one just had the twin beds, so more floor space. Several of the lights didn't work, and again, there was a timber step stool to access the shower over bath. The bottom of the bath was quite narrow so not at all secure feeling under foot. The buffet breakfast was stocked with a little of our preferred western style foods, but not great. Juices are what you expect in Asia. Great confusion with the location of this hotel, as there are several Trendy Hotels in Hanoi, with 3 being nearer the lake and market areas. This one is in the Old Town, and quite a walk from the lake and the night market, but doable.

Staff are admirable. Efficient but absolute darlings too, while staying professional at all times. Help was offered readily on matters such as places to visit or assistance to get a taxi or calling airlines. Reception staff speaks good English. Rooms and bathrooms contain everything you need and equipment is in good working order. Breakfast may be limited for western palates but you are provided with more than is sufficient. I will definitely visit Hanoi again and will stay again at this hotel.

I recently stayed at the hotel and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The hotel is in dire need of renovation; it's old, smelly, and the equipment is poor. Hotel tried to use the essential oil to make the room have a fresher feel, but the musty smell combined with essential oil make it even worse. The facilities are outdated and many are broken. However, the saving grace was the acceptable breakfast and the hotel's convenient location. The gym was a major letdown, lacking proper equipment and maintenance. Considering the overall condition, the expensive price tag was unjustified. In addition, the floorplan of my rooms added to the inconvenience of my stay. Navigating through the poorly designed layout was cumbersome, making simple tasks feel unnecessarily complicated.

We stayed at the hotel for several nights in December 2023. The rooms were comfortable and well serviced. The location was very good, with several restaurants in the neighborhood. We were able to walk the very safe streers of Hanoi to Hoan Kiem Lake and many other points of interest from the hotel. But the OUTSTANDING thing to know about this hotel is that the staff consistently delivers excellent service. From the front desk to the breakfast room, you will be greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcome. I went on a trip to Hanoi. The room is spacious and airy, sunset bar on the 13th floor where you can drink and smoke. The staff is very enthusiastic the receptionist and restaurant staff all took care of us very well. Highly recommended!
