Premier Inn Haywards Heath

Room wasn't very clean gave me wrong room will not return again as I've stayed in many and I have to say this is the worse one

I drink In the hotel a lot as I live over the road .my lockel is guess .I have seen it busy and quiet .but tonight .as im from hotel background. One you must if k own how busy you were from the amount of rooms you sell .we did in my hotel .3 of them .you left 2 front of house .to deal with the restaurant. Bar .and check in .you had a party of 17 for dinner plus every one else .I counted 58 at one point .calsm .see. and the amazing chef Dan .we're amazing .not all resident thought that .its really bad when your locals .have to help the staff ( they never asked. I did it .and not the first time ) .when you are full hotel you need two chefs .3 at the front .if I can see that as a local management should she that .or is it all about money .because what I seen tonight with your staff bless them. You as management need to start looking at you occupancy and staff you hotel better .Just a thought

Booked into the nearest Premier Inn for work purposes the following day and after a long day at work, it was so nice to walk into a brightly lit area, be greeted and for once in my life, a seamless check in experience using the self service / automated system. Getting my access card was simple and then I travelled up the lift to my floor. My access card worked for access to my floor and then worked again when entering my room - didn't have to run back downstairs to get it renewed!! My room was welcoming and I literally had a coffee and went to bed - as an early start beckoned. The room was clean & tidy as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable as it didn't take long for me to drift off. The only little thing I would say is that it was too warm but better than being cold I guess! Waking up in the morning, a long hot shower was enjoyed before attending breakfast. Unlike some locations, breakfast is served here from 0630 hours so helping myself to a coffee before sitting down, I enjoyed the cooked breakfast selection along with the fruit, bread & pastries!! Checking out was even easier, said thanks and goodbye whilst dropping my access card into the nominated box! Job done! Thank you to all at Haywards Heath, I was more than ready to face another day!

Hotel was good value as always with Premier Inn ands the room was nice and clean. Service from staff on the morning I left was abysmal. Chloe, the young lady who said she was in charge also said she was still training and had only worked there for two weeks. Really ??? The most senior member of staff had worked there for two weeks and was still training. Come on Premier Inns, you should do much better than this. Her reaction to my comment that I was getting unsatisfactory service was "That's Life". Her interpersonal skills were non existent and this is someone who should definitely not be involved in the hospitality business. As for the guy on the Reception Desk, Georgi I think his name was, you get more help from a brick wall and he wasn't interested at all in the issue. I don't expect 5 Star treatment from a Budget Hotel Chain, what I do expect though is civility and a desire to deal with a Guest's problem.

As always, the Premier Inn had very good management and staff with excellent service. I found the style very friendly at all times. The breakfast was in a bar area with some chairs and tables and was adequate my advice is don’t go for your breakfast at a busy time, otherwise the whole hotel will be wanting breakfast at the same time. I use Premier Inn all over the country and found them all very good the beds are very comfortable. The rooms were very clean. Downside I felt they are cutting back a little bit here and there and it is beginning to become a little bit noticeable. But I can understand with the financial climate. I think it’s very well well worth staying at a Premier Inn and the one at Haywards Heath was absolutely as I would expect. Very close to the station and Waitrose if you need some extra bits. The only suggestion if they’re recycling the room cards, maybe they could give them a bit of a clean.

We booked our room on the phone to make sure we had an interconnecting room for our children. We arrived at the hotel to be told there was a note on our booking but we hadn't paid for 2 rooms so they only had one. We were told on the phone we had booked 2 rooms together. We rang and booked on the phone for this reason to make sure we had connected rooms. The member of staff on reception (who was in charge of the hotel that evening) rang their regional manager however no help. We were told we would have to pay for a second room. We were also told they may or may not have one and no compensation or reimbursement may happen even though it was their error. So at this point I was unclear if they had 2 interconnecting rooms available or not. We asked to speak personally to the manager and was told we weren't able to. The member of staff said he believed we had booked 2 connected rooms as it was odd it had been written on the notes. He even said something along the lines of 'Why would you need to write interconnecting room if you don't need one' however even though he said this he kept saying he couldn't help. In the end we had to take the room as my children were so tired and the interconnecting room that might have been available was given away to other checking in. We would have got on with it if it was just 1 night but we were staying 2 nights. Horrendous customer service! Also furniture in the room was broken. Avoid this hotel!
