Canareef Resort Maldives

Das Ressort ist wunderschön. Die einstöckigen Bungalows fügen sich harmonisch in die tropische Umgebung ein. Ein paar Schritte über die schöne Holzterrasse und man steht am Meer. Es ist tatsächlich so paradiesisch wie auf den Bildern. Sobald es dämmert kann man die zahlreichen Einsiedlerkrebse in allen Formen, Farben und Größen beobachten. Das Personal ist absolut freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen abwechslungsreich, lecker und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Den Gästen stehen Fahrräder zur Verfügung mit denen man über das flache Eiland fahren kann oder man bestellt sich einen Buggy, eine Art Golfwagen mit Anhängern, mit denen man überall hingefahren wird. Z.B. an die Beach Bar am äußersten Ende der Insel. Darüberhinaus kann man Ausflüge zum Schnorcheln, Tauchen etc. buchen, im Spa entspannen oder im Wassersportzentrum Kanus leihen, Wasserski fahren etc. Es wird also nicht langweilig. Wir hatten einen Bungalow der ca. 200 Meter von der Poolbar entfernt war und das war alles andere als erholsam. Die Bässe der Disco waren bis zu uns in voller Lautstärke zu hören. Es war ein wenig als wäre man aus Versehen auf dem Ballermann gelandet. Das hatte ich nicht erwartet und das hat mich sehr entäuscht.

The resort was amazing. The premium room with jacuzzi was stunning, and all the staff went beyond to make our stay so memorable. The range of food in the restaurant was very good, lovely curries each day along with a wide range of other dishes. The chefs were amazing to help my wife, who has to avoid dairy.

I don’t like giving negative reviews especially as the staff here work so hard. We booked with Blue Bay travel. No problems at all travel was seamless. Arrival on the Island went well. Taken to our room, luggage arrived about 10 minutes later. Our room was huge, clean and bed linen was crisp, important to me. Mattress was like sleeping on a slab of marble. We were so tired didn’t really notice until next evening. They did however come later in the week with a mattress topper. Made a little bit of a difference. Room best described as ‘Rustic’. Needs upgrading, The curtains looked as though someone had thrown bleach over them, (pic) bathroom outside was weird for us, but perfectly fine. We had a path to the sea from our room, but not really accessible as full of stones coral and drift wood, quite a big drop to the sand. (Pic) We had a fridge in our room with nothing in it. We were on an all inclusive package…………… ‘but be aware’ it’s not! No explanation anywhere about this. To have drinks in your fridge you have to pay for them. And they are mega expensive! (Pic) Then we have the beach bar. Lovely location set on the most gorgeous beach. Go to the bar order a drink and a snack……….wait for it! Drinks are included, snacks and meals are not! I was a bit taken aback. I explained that we were all inclusive. The barman had been down this route before, I could tell. I told him politely that I’d already paid! He just kept repeating, parrot fashion his original speech. The island is large but narrow. Everything is very far apart. You are provided with bikes, if you can ride. If not there are golf buggy. Perfect you may think………! The paths through the island are sand. It’s an island! When it rains the paths become pot holes and puddles, lots of them. Best to let your food digest a little before coming back to your room on a golf buggy Having said all of this we made the best of it. Food in the restaurant, is good. You won’t starve. I’m not a great fan of spicy food, a lot of it is, but I managed very well. Desserts are delicious. Staff are friendly and seem generally happy. Whole place needs a makeover. Could be a stunning Island. Taken a few pics.

Après un long voyage,nous sommes arrivés dans cet écrin de verdure , ou nous avons vécu dans une bulle de bienveillance. Le complexe est très étendu,tous les trajets se font en vélo,a pieds ou en buggy à réserver...Les gens sont d'une gentillesse hors normes,le sourire est omniprésent, nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. Tout était réuni pour un séjour de détente totale et de bonheur. Les sorties snorkeling sont top, l'équipe est géniale ! Le maître nageur sur la plage est adorable,il nous a offert un tour de barque pour admirer des coreaux intact ...Nous avons eu la chance de nager avec une tortue en partant du lagon de notre chambre ,les requins pointes noires sont toujours prêt de vous. La nourriture est très variées et très bonne,il y a beaucoup de choix.La formule all inclusive est très intéressante.Les chambres sont très spacieuse,la salle de bain dehors c'est le top!! Bungalow tout en bois se mêlant à la nature et accès direct au lagon.La plage la plus excentré est vraiment la plus belle, avec une diversité de poissons de toutes beauté !! Nous sommes enchantés d'avoir partagé ce moment de rêve dans cet établissement calme, dépaysant, entouré de personnes adorable et remplie d'empathie. Un anniversaire de mariage avec surprise dans la chambre, décoration de table,gâteau ,plateau de fruits, bouteille de vin...un grand merci❤️ J'ai même pleuré en quittant ce petit paradis qui nous a bercé de bonheur..... Wow ! If you’re considering going to this resort . Go !! It’s amazing everything we heard about it was just spot ion. Service , accommodation staff were just so friendly helpful we actually felt like they were friends . So lovely it was just the perfect holiday . Thank you to everyone special thanks to the DJ , Didi , life guard , jasmine and General Manager . We will see you again . I read a review this is more 5 than 4 star I would totally agree . Food was that of a five star so much choice

This place is amazing, like many other have said so I’ll just touch on some bits…. The resort as a whole is awesome, beautiful in many ways. The pool / bars / restaurants have everything you need. Then in between it’s like being in a tropical island with tracks and shrubbery to cycle / walk / buggy through, whatever mode of transport that takes you fancy. We mixed it up through the day as we pleased (buggy to brekky, cycle to the pool / beach bar etc) but I’d say it’s reachable by all. Started walking most nights for evening meal and ended up jumping in a passing buggy! The sunset jacuzzi villas are beautiful, about 5 meters and you are out on to (what seemed like) a private beach. Cleaners in more than once a day, it was almost like they knew when we popped out, arrived back and bed the bed was made! Both pools are really calm and in perfect condition, staff great, very attentive with the drinks orders! Activities: The mountain bikes are a great way to get a round, free issue with the villa. My girlfriend used the spa for massage that she said was great and I went on the evening fishing (although i didn’t others did catch a few!). Snorkelling out from the beach bar is awesome, loads of different types of fish and colours coming out from the shallow reefs! We also did sea canoeing and the “funtube” with the guys just next to dhoni bar and both lots of fun! The food was great, we were here 10 days all inclusive so ate at the same place, at the same table lots of times. We thought this may be too much but it really wasn’t, the chefs mix it up and always a good and varying selection from salads, curry’s (fresh naan counter), panini, fruit, desserts etc etc I could go on.. but it’s really hard not to eat too much! Only negative: we wanted to eat at the meera bar one eve, only to break it up the buffet visits a bit really…… We ordered pizzas (…..probably added to the problem was a couple of nights before the buffet served fresh pizzas that were continually being handmade & were delicious). The pizza at the meera bar came and were frozen deep pan type with added toppings - not as expected and very disappointing. I didn’t want to complain to the waitress / chef as no doubt this isn’t their problem but something the resort could learn from? Overall excellent and would recommend to all. Thanks

1974, il nostro viaggio di nozze ci ha portati alle Maldive, meta sconosciuta anche alla maggior parte delle agenzie di viaggi.. C'era un unico resort ed un'altro in costruzione. Siamo tornati alle Maldive moltissime volte e negli ultimi 12/15anni abbiamo sempre festeggiato lì il nostro anniversario, quasi sempre in resort differenti. A gennaio/febbraio scorsi siamo stati al Canareef .. A gennaio 2024 torneremo al Canareef per festeggiare lì i nostri 50 anni di matrimonio !!

Si vous cherchez un petit coin de paradis pour pouvoir vous y reposer vous vider la tête passer du bon temps revenir avec plein de souvenirs dans la tête et dans le cœur un seul endroit Canareef Franchement tout était splendide, le personnel est d'une amabilité juste incroyable, souriant, gentil et amicaux. La nourriture bluffant, le buffet est juste d'une grandiose diversité. La piscine magnifique, les coins de plage sont à tomber par terre. La literie, la propreté rien à dire c'est même plus du 4 étoiles c'est un 5 étoile. Vraiment je recommande vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Et quand même une spéciale dédicace à Didi l'animateur des excursions et au DJ qui à animé d'excellentes soirées

The staff were very friendly and professional. Special thanks to Mohamed Shiruhaan who was super helpful and made sure that our honeymoon was very memorable. Great variety of food with every meal. Great system to organise every part of our stay at the resort. Great long beaches for relaxing walks. Amazing weather, even when it rains! Regular buggy rides to get us around the resort whenever needed. Large villa that was cleaned very regularly, with soothing bed and lovely jacuzzi whirlpool. Massage was amazing! Lovely swimming pools and atmosphere around the resort.
