I attended a course at the Boship this week and have been many times before. I am always blown away by how wonderful the staff and management are; nothing is too much trouble. Staff are friendly, caring and hard working. The food is great, tasty and well presented. The rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. And the grounds are plentiful, with nice scenery such as the ponds with water features. I wouldn't want the course I attended to be located anywhere else!

The outside of the hotel is very scruffy, but this is because it is in the process of being refurbished. The rooms themselves were excellent, clean , modern (although the see through toilet door is a bit kinky in room 4.) Although being warned of the step inside the passageway to room 4 my wife tripped up it and the light needs improving or warning tape put on the step. We had to bring the date forward of our visit due to the impending death of a near relative and was very disappointed in having to pay a surcharge of £48.00 per room for the convenience of doing this although we believe the hotel did not have any reservations for these rooms, so could have waived the surcharge. We did not have occasion to eat at the hotel excepting for breakfast which was excellent.

We stayed for 3 nights and overall we thought the hotel was over hyped. Yes the grounds are lovely and the food at night was excellent. However there were a few things which were a considerable let down. The bar was under stocked and disappointingly neither of the barmen could make a cocktail. The bar menu had not been changed to reflect the actual spirits available. However the main disappointment was the breakfast. It certainly did not befit a 4 star establishment. Service at times was chaotic, had to wait for tea and coffee to be served and for our choice of hot selection to be taken. I also don’t believe the hot breakfast was cooked fresh to order. The eggs were hard and appeared to have been standing for a while, likewise the bacon. The continental breakfast was not restocked unless I contacted a member of staff. Also we had billing issues as the hotel tried to charge us for fresh milk for the room despite the hotel information booklet saying it was available. Fresh milk should be freely available in such high end establishment. Overall We wre left underwhelmed by the whole experience

What an absolute shambles! I paid good money for a large room over the Airshow weekend and they were not prepared in any way to accept guests. The parking that was described on the hotel website was not actually available and AFTER I checked in I got a message from them to say that thet wouldn't be serving breakfast! No breakfast in a seaside hotel, absolutely ridiculous. And insteaad of being apologetic the front desk staff just made excuses and became belligerent. They couldn't run a tap, let alone a whole hotel. Horrific level of service. Best avoided.

Hotel stay was comfortable and excellent for a short stay. Hotel looks old and has an ancient lift, but overall is well maintained and the room is clean and great. Toilet may be a bit cramp and the shower head is leaking causing water to splash out from the bathtub and flood the toilet floor. Location is good as it faces directly to the sea and is 15 mins walk away from the train station. However, there was no bottled water provided and the kettle looks filthy with a white layer coated on it, but the staff was friendly and provided hot water upon request at the reception. Beside that, the overall stay was pleasant and the room is clean.

We were checked in for a two night stay and were given 3 rooms in total due to our horrific stay. The first room we were given was absolutely filthy! We requested a new room which we were given and only got worse from there. At 2:30 am we were woken up in discomfort and itchy, only to get up and investigate the bed and find multiple bed bugs across the bed and pillows. It was horrific!!!! The bites I have received were disgusting and what was even more upsetting and disappointment was the reaction of the staff. We were moved to another room at 3am and were told to complain to the day staff in the morning which we did. They only offered us a complimentary breakfast and 10% off our stay which was only £10.30. £10.30 after all we endured during our stay is laughable!!!! If only we could upload videos of the bed bugs we took, the pictures do not do it justice at all. NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Especially if you value your peace, sanity and skin.

I recently stayed at Pearl & Pebbles Eastbourne in Eastbourne for one night and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Firstly, I must commend the lovely staff, although our interactions were minimal, their warmth and hospitality were evident. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, including the bathroom which was also fresh and tidy. However, my room was located right in front of the stairs on the second floor, which resulted in considerable noise disturbance until late at night, affecting my sleep quality. On a brighter note, the bed was comfortable, and the presence of a desk and chair was a practical addition, making it easier for me to catch up on some work. I particularly enjoyed the bathroom with its window, perfect for those who, like me, enjoy showering with a breeze of fresh air. Despite the compact size of the room, it was sufficient for a one-night stay. Moreover, having a kettle, coffee, and tea in the room was a delightful bonus, adding to the comfort and convenience of the stay. However, it was disappointing to find that the room lacked a safe, which would have added an extra layer of security for my belongings. In summary, while my stay at Pearl & Pebbles Eastbourne had its drawbacks, including noise issues and the absence of a safe, the cleanliness, comfort of the bed, practical amenities, and the friendly staff made it a generally positive experience for my short stay in Eastbourne.

Great location right by the seafront. Rooms very clean with comfortable beds. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Really nice continental breakfast, and plenty of choice. Ideally placed for the Theatre which was just a short walk away.

When we arrived we was asked to pay for the room in ful. We told the lady we had credit card but she said she wanted the £171 in cash and directed us to the nearest bank. I wasnt at all happy with this as the website says they accept credit/debit cards. This then ate into our spending allowance. I wasnt offerd a reciept & she had 2 days to oblige but this didnt come my way. In the room the very large window has no blind just curtains and is overlooked by other propertys but more so next doors court yard which often had a guy smoking out there. This meant we couldnt get undressed with out closing the curtains. This made the room dark & stuffy as it was very hot on the two days we was there. Our room carpet lead up to the ensuite floor tiles which had quite a big step which wasnt noticable & i stubbed my toe. I was in a great deal of pain. This needs addressing Asap before some one breaks there toes. To stop us doing this again or forgetting in the middle of the night we had to pad it with cushions. The check out was self service and you leave your key in the bedroom door. This i find very impersonable, there is no customer service hear & they are recieving alot of money for not alot in return. This is a shame as the room was very clean & the bed very comfortable. Based on our experience hear we wont return we will find some where with better service
